i have the onn 4k pro and another simple option is to use wifi. i have 5g wifi through my phone provider and get speeds of about 170mbps...however, it tends to fluctuate throughout the day but like you said, you don't really need highspeeds to stream video. you need at least 20-30mbps for 4k video and that's not a problem no matter what time of day it is....at least you have less cables connected to your tv this way.
