THANK YOU FOR POINTING OUT THE THEME OF DISAPPOINTMENT. You are supposed to be frustrated and disappointed by the end! Just like real life, there's no guarantee that its going to work out and I kind of love that about the ending. For me it feels more satisfying than "aliens" or whatever conspiracy because most games are fantasy based and involve a lot of wish fulfillment, or attempts at that concept. The ending was good to me, because it accomplished exactly that goal, making you upset that things didn't work out and you never attained a lot of goals or fully understand why things happened. I do love games with happy or exciting endings, but it was fairly unique to see a game let me down deliberately. It is extremely relateable for the way you can't completely trust any information and you have to deal with the fact that loose ends exist and life or other people aren't NPCs that exist only to tie up your problems in a neat little bow. Alcoholics relapse and fall off the wagon, friends you trust lie, or aren't perfect, sometimes they aren't even GOOD people, as much as you want them to be. And when something goes horribly wrong, there isn't always a clear answer or motive behind any accident, murder, random chance of fate. And the actual redo of the ending is a pretty good example of how persistence and creativity, and sometimes settling for "good enough" can still make beautiful art. A lot of my paintings are unfinished until I have some cheap and weird solution. It's not perfect persay, but it works for the mood of the piece, and I feel the game manages the same. Does that mean a game that is intended to make you feel disappointed is bad or a failure if it ends up making you feel pretty much exactly what the makers intended?

Hey, I don't remember whether I've commented it already, but I always wanted to say that I feel joy every time I see a video of this channel on my subscription feed . Keep up the good work (my favorite ones were the one about Amy in Sonic Mania and Pikachu's character designer)

Loved this video! I saw her GDC panel before this and liked the way you guys presented her story. Also, I always love your guys' moral of the story at the end.

Do you plan on making a video about Mega Man creator Akira Kitamura for MegaMan 11? I’ve been trying to play all the main Mega Man and Mega Man X games before its release and have been obsessed with them. Keep up the great work.

What are your favorites in the respective series so far? Mine are mega man 2 and mega man x 4
@ddawgmcdawg2136 жыл бұрын
Onion Head Guy Guy I can’t choose a favorite. It’s so hard. Most of them are really good. I’ve only played the main Mega Man games, and the seventh really bores me. Eight is fun only for the voice acting and cutscenes due to their sort of so bad it’s good quality. I will get the X collection even the second one which means going through the seventh game in the X franchise. Yay.

Your channel has the interesting stories that I didn't knew I wanted so bad. I just wished you would amplify the audio. As it is the volume is too low and makes the ads (or any other video) REALLY loud when we turn up the volume.

I don't want you to take this the wrong way, as I love your channel and the idea of art panels shown while telling a story is unique, and something I've never seen before. Keep up the good work! But, there are different colored "clouds" in the background of all your art. If you want to change it up, you might consider making the entire background that cloud, or put it around the figures, or get rid of it entirely. I'm not super against the clouds, but they sort of bother me at times. I know you can't please everyone, although you could try this in your spare time and see if it's better another way. Thanks for reading!

For example, at 5:58, the background with the cloud could just be a border instead of a cloud, but the picture would also be good without it. Just a thought. To add on to this, parts of the video like 7:29, 9:09, and 11:51 don't need the background clouds. Maybe you could put the clouds in some parts, and not all. Or you could make the cloud colors more opaque. This is the best solution imo. I'm done now. Thanks for reading.

After playing the entire game (which didn't take super long honestly), the ending was kindly said, the most disappointing part of it. Now I know through this video that it was no miracle, since it was a small team and only 2 years of development. Maybe they just didn't have more money to spend more time on it, I don't know... but if it could have been avoided, I would certainly say that's what made the ending the worst part and a good example of what to avoid while making such games. As a wise person once said to me: "The ending is paramount" and that's why I can kind of understand why a lot of people had a bad aftertaste.
