FIREWOOD CUTTING PARTY -

As the fellowship date moves closer, there is several cord of firewood logs that need to be cut in preparation for the splitting event. Today some good friends have joined me to buck all the logs in the yard. Can we get it done? The weather has not been cooperating but we will make the best of it.

Stick w all orange but maybe the other brand. 620 would do ya well. Talk to Tony bout them. With the little I've used my 590, so far I really like it. E z on gas like my 450 Husq.

Hey man... Husqvarna's are good saws, they have a taller stroke and greater compression than Stihl's... which also leads to them sometimes being a pain to start. Keep in mind that some people use the smaller medium duty chainsaws for doing cording work which leads to breakdowns.

I have a lot of yellow birch. It burns well. You got a lot done. I totaled my Expedition on some black ice on Saturday but still plan to come as long as I get another vehicle. See you next week.

Boy a lot got done. Hope you find the patience for all that oak to dry. Or for your sake I hope it dries fast for you than it does for me. An inch a year per thickness is a thing in my situation. And you turn over your hard every year. Patience will be needed!

Oak takes longer for sure but with the sun and wind moving through that open field, it dries fairly quickly

Need more wood to split. 8 wood splitters you going to need double what you got now if not more. Good showing of friends cutting wood and that husky needs to be worked on and it be a good saw. Have a great day be safe

Brad if have logging chainsaw you should do a cord in 30 to 35 min . If you sharpen the chain like 👍 us logger less 30 min a cord .
