It was a very nice presentation . I only hope that government would take extra effort to carry every stakeholder and taxation point to understand the new thinking. Our population will add great value to taxation income. The nation should initiate the emergence of middle class once again. This strata of the society is the cash cow in tax payment. If there is enhance security, investments and wider productivity, surely there would be more jobs placement and ability to pay tax.

Think we have great issue in tax remission from the firs unit at various states, they bill local businesses unnecessary and remit to the FG a lower rate. I believe the payment mode and remittance need to be up scaled, improvised on, if tax payers can login directly on an online firs platform to make payment directly, it will reveal high rate corruption in tax remittance and tax sum will improve rapidly

To attract Foreign Direct Investments,FDI, governments all over the world do the following: 1.Massive spending and improvement on infrastructure-electricity,logistics(roads,train etc). 2.Security. 3.Tax free repatriation of profits. 4.IT infrastructure. All these presentations will be unnecessary if the government provides the necessary environment highlighted above. Dubai,UAE, did just that and it is attracting all the investment,start-ups and seed capital. How can you tax people or businesses when there are no incomes? Go and study the Dubai model and see how things are working.

Let's stop kidding ourselves, as much as there is a need for tax reforms, it is deceitful to say that tax reforms alone can bring about an economic upturn in the country. We must address corruption and wastage in government and then address the issue of local production. We got into this mess with the mismanagement of the exchange rate and doing a direct conversion doesn't provide a true picture. A more accurate way to look at things is PPP (Purchasing Power Parity)

The fall of exchange rate is due to Nigerians moping up the available dollars and saving them in USDT. The CBN governor detected this earlier in this administration but Nigerians have developed a clever way of doing this sabotage without being detected by the government. I understand that the government also does not want to destroy the crypto ecosystem. I hope the government can find a way to deal with this malaise.

I don't have issues with the tax reform, bill, to be honest. A large percentage of Nigerians don't pay taxes, and that's a fact. I recall doing a presentation in one of my courses, comparing Nigeria's development to that of other developed countries. I highlighted two major issues: the government's inability to fulfill its responsibilities and citizens' reluctance to pay taxes. My concern, is that the current government, led by President Tinubu, will mismanage the taxpayers' money without accounting for it, just like they've done in the past, especially with the subsidy money. It seems like they're only trying to generate more revenue for the benefit of politicians, rather than the Nigerian people. Finally, they should Strike a balance between revenue generation and not overburdening companies because last last it’s the poor citizens that will pay the cost(Indirect tax). And also make the process of paying tax digital to make the process easy for tax payers, not creating association of Thugs to tax people Come to think of it, why does Tinubu like Tax increase even when he was a governor he increased Tax to the extend that they tax everything

You are never going to get that because our problems does not have immediate solutions. For instance, the government is upgrading our electric power transmission grid infrastructure from 4,000MW to 25,000MW- that is more than six times of its present capacity and it is going to take time to accomplish. More than 30,000 MW of electric power generation are also in the works as we speak. That way too will take time as it takes on the average five years to finish a 1000MW power plant.

So you can see why those who have been opposing the President for his travels are actually misinforming members of the public. The amount of misinformation in the media these days about the government is alarming.
