Just bought the R6 and, like always with a new camera body, I struggle with getting started. I appreciated the short 7 basic tips very much. Thank you.

Hi Timothy, great idea, I've been thinking of making these... I will get the ball rolling in the next couple of weeks. Are you a Cannon owner yourself?

@@SmartPhotoVault yessir. New to canon but have shot Sony for some time and Panasonic before that.

@@TimothyGordon Nice. I Returned to Canon for the colour. Haven't worked with SONY myself, I know the Zeiss glass is very good. If you have any Canon questions, message them over, planning to make some more Vlog style videos soon. Best Adam

Good stuff! Most of this I did, but I like adding your phone number to the copyright data.

Also, consider including having the shutter cover the sensor whenever the camera is turned off. That way, when you change lenses, the shutter is always down protecting the sensor. Actually, that would be the first setting that should be changed. I don't remember if that is set to be closed by default, but it's a good setting to consider checking straight away.

A good point to raise Chris. I think its set as a default. Mine is this way. Good to double-check. Best.

If you are watching this video and don't know the viewfinder adjustment doesn't effect the sharpness of an image, please return the camera and get a point and shoot or use your phone.

Dear sir it was a very helpfull tutorial But now I am a new user of r6 and I don't know how to create setting of camera for better colour tone ...And cinematic videos...So can u help us
@SmartPhotoVault3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rudra, For still I shoot both JPEG and raw. And use the Standard 'S' colour profile setting, or shoot in 'M' monochrome. I mostly Edit raws in 'Capture One' for full flexibility.

Hi - I just watched a video where a new R6 user had her card fill up but she got no warning - she found that the last 50 images had been reduced in resolution. Is the camera naturally set like this or can you set the camera just to give you a warning that the "card is full", and then stop working (what Im used to).
@SmartPhotoVault3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, good question. I'm unsure. Memory cards are so cheap to buy ythese days. I use 2 128Gb Kingston memory cards shoot thousands at full res and never run oit of space. Sorry i couldnt giove you better answer direct to question. If you email Caannoin they will help with this one. Best

Hey Lucy, It's a great tripod right. Very versatile. I've now just bought the 'Benro GD3WH' Precision Geared Head. It's a bit lighter than the Manfrotto head and more accurate. Best. Adam

My new r6 started naming files at BY9A3442.mp4. Does that mean they sold me a used camera? I've never noticed this in a new cam.
@SmartPhotoVault3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jimmy. This naming doesn't sound correct to me. It could be worth looking into further. Did you buy from an official retailer? ...check out the camera serial number, and see if you can check with Canon. Adam
@jimmyq2videos3 жыл бұрын
@@SmartPhotoVault I bought it from Abes of Maine. They're not an official retailer but it was supposed to be a new item. I am a CPS member. Would sending it in give an accurate shutter count or just an average 3000 etc? Thank you for your time.
@SmartPhotoVault3 жыл бұрын
@@jimmyq2videos You can check the shutter count by the file name. If you have a concern I would send canon an email with the serial number and get them to check the store that camera matches your store. I'm sure canon support with help you.
