Good head movement, levels above the other guy. Well deserved win. Hope the guy who lost isn't too shook up, he got in the ring and deserves respect for that. Back to the gym.

The guy who lost is brave and deserves respect as well. Some of things that made him lose is that he never threw any power shots or combinations. Even if nothing lands, showing your opponent that you have some stopping power gains their respect more and they won't be as aggressive. This guy who won is particularly aggressive from the start, yet the guy in black still has the typical first round mindset: jab to see what the opponents response his, and to find a good distance and rythm. He needed to adapt to win, shut down his aggression right away, and again, even if nothing lands, throwing something with a bit more power gives him a better chance of lasting longer or winning, it will create some space.

I agree, it takes alot courage to get in that ring and perform in front of an audience. I had over 100 fights and on my 1st fight.i got 3 8counts. Being over weight at 13 years old, 4'11"", and 126lbs I lost my first 5 fight. 4 months later I was the 85lbs Bronze medalist at the National Junior Olympics. I said that because he looked like he'd fought before, yet was seemed confused about what to do after a knockdown. Both times the ref had to redirect him, both times he awkwardly tripped over himself hurrying to get into position. Good athlete, new sport. I've noticed that alot of boxers hit 1-2 hits only, whereas people like Mike Tyson except from rolling and avoiding attacks as he attacks always hits 4-5 hits at a time and it's usually a mix of multiple types of low or high attacks. What that did was even back in the day when he started, he was able to overwhelm his opponents by staying mostly on the offensive and only defending and dodged when he wasn't able to pressure.
