@@JD-wu5pf It's more of the fact that he was doubling down wasting resources on trying to make interest work with a deck whose whole entire gimmick is sacrificing interest for some other gain, regardless of the wording on the deck. He didn't internalize that from the initial deck selection, he didn't internalize that from the first interest misplay, it took 3 barriers for him to finally give up on something that was obvious to everyone from the first menu of the game.

The commander bit was a massive +2 But it drives me a little crazy how every run of balatro NL plays he will have like 2 jokers and spend 30 minites being like "we need as many shops as possible so we can buy jokers" Then in the shop he spends like 5 of his $30 on booster packs then hits next round and is like "we really need some jokers" then goes to the next shop and buys 2 booster packs then hits next round 🤣

Wasn't sure either intuitively, but going from 3 pairs to 2 pairs seems optimal for finding full house chances for normal hand sizes, but starts being bad at higher hand sizes, because keeping the third pair no longer limits your total number of discards: 8 handsize: Keep 3 pair, discard 2 = 25% Keep 2 pairs, discard 4 = 32% 9 handsize: 3p = 37% 2p = 40% 10 handsize: 3p = 47% 2p = 40%
