@@genieinthepot2455 I'm going to guess it's about flexibility, since sometimes you're in such a position you really don't need the xmult so you can just discard the purple seal for the tarot, since you wouldn't put steel or purple seal on a card you actually intend on playing. But I'm not familiar with it

When I X'd 1.5, how I felt so alive, as the dinging had dinged, and the numbers did climb. 1.5 -1.5, 60 mult, whats the score? Oh, just 135, but with blue chips galore! The fire, it roared! As my points went and soared. 1 MILLION chips, the Boss Blind was no more!

My like 2nd Balatro run was a steel card run where I had mime joker and the joker that gives mult for every steel card you have. I just drew a full hand of steel and played high card every turn and it carried me to ante 11 or 12, where runs go to die

I got a soul card from an arcane pack on the spectral deck for my first joker. Perkeo, the joker that makes a negative copy your consumable slot popped up. The spectral pack gives you a hex and makes spectral cards appear in the shop. I added poly chrome to perkeo, opened a spectral and got the one the copy a joker and deletes all others. Now I have 2 poly chrome perkeo, making 2 negative consumables at the end of every shop. I found a creates rare joker and sets money to 0, so I duped those for a few rounds until I got some jokers I liked. Made a bunch of death cards and hangman before finding a cryptid in the shop and going crazy with glass and steel cards.

Yk, stuff like A, 2, 3 of spades, 4 of diamonds, and 9 of spades counts as a straight flush when you have 4 fingers, so leveling neptune can be quite OP. it's important to have 4 cards that constitute a flush and 4 that constitute a straight in order for it to be considered a straight flush, and with 5 cards it's more than doable

Blueprint doubles whatever you put it on, so if you have a joker like drivers license that is more than times 2 you should use it on that.

At 37:26 While Jupiter is the biggest planet, it's all relative, so if we are as far away as possible from Jupiter, first it looks smaller than others, and second, it may be blocked by the sun, making it impossible to find for the time being. And, with this logic, Earth would/should be the easiest to find, which, considering what full house is at (given by Earth), I may be on(to) something. There, I made it make sense.

Man I could watch balatro forever. My best run ended where NL’s did. I’ve found myself doing the same where I’m worrying less about winning runs and trying to instead play runs to get as far as I can in endless. I remember the last game I played with endless was luck be a landlord and that was so boring because it truly was endless where as with balatro you’re cooked by ante 11 MAYBE 12 some runs. Though I’ve never even seen ante 12.

I got up to ante 12 on my first red stake game, had an insane combo with the highest scoring hand being like 44 million. The scaling blows up fast, I think small blind is 22 million for ante 12.

The problem with this game being out is now I keep wanting to comment on plays I would have made that you didn't, but, I won't. But one thing I'll say as for the game rules is every card can have an "edition", a seal, and an enhancement. Editions are polychrome, foil, and holographic. Red seal polychrome is 1.5^2 in played hands, so, that's fun

The closer you are to equal chips and mult, it's the biggest point total. Example 100x100 is more than 50x150 or 25x175. However, the reason you can get numbers beyond billions is the multipliers from jokers, steel, glass, polychrome, retriggers on those ect.

In my opinion, based on admittedly limited hours in the game so far, keeping steel on an off suit early is great because you have fewer cards you have to cut and you can just convert it to your trump suit at some point.

a x2 simply multiplies the final score by two. it doesnt matter what your chips or mult are. so you shouldnt increase your mult just cause you have a x2 mult joker

I feel like, if you have the "Flushes can be made with 4 cards" joker, that 4 of a kind, all the same suit, should give you the Flush Five payout. Yes, it's not five cards, but there isn't a "Flush Four" because you normally can't have a flush with only four cards. "Flush Five" isn't a real poker hand, and what it means here is "all the cards in your flush are the same", which only requires four cards if you have that joker.

I think the smeared joker could've saved it with straight flushes. With 4 fingers you can cheat them by making 2345 with lets say 1 wrong suit card and and random card of the suit you need as the fifth card the game will still count it
