Watching that first soldier tugging at the trigger instead of squeezing it was quite painfull to watch, but he will learn, joined in 1973 at 15 which was quite an experience using an elefant gun!

Kinda hard to squeeze rather than pull a damned bullpup trigger. Can't wait till we get the new rifles in.
@JammyDodger45 Жыл бұрын
@@joshuacharleton 😂 "Tell me you've never fired the weapon without telling me you've never fired the weapon" The configuration of the weapon has nothing to do with how you can/can't operate the trigger you 🤡 And the Army aren't getting a new weapon any time soon.
@joshuacharleton Жыл бұрын
@@JammyDodger45 Tell me you know nothing of current affairs without telling me. Everyone knows bullpups have a much heavier trigger than conventional rifles due to the way it operates. It needs more linkages and is farther from the action which results in more play and a heavier pull. The heavier a trigger the more you will need to pull rather than squeeze. And if it makes no difference, ask ANYONE that shoots for competition and they will tell you that light triggers (
@JammyDodger45 Жыл бұрын
@@joshuacharleton - a trigger pull is not current affairs. Nor does a bullpup trigger require extra linkage just a longer trigger bar. The RM, which I served in for over 20yrs have already changed our weapon. The Army is not planning on doing so any time soon, the A3 has its next in service life review at 2030. And competition rifles and shooting have limited relevance to combat shooting. A bullpup trigger is no harder to use than any of the other service rifles I've been issued with in my extensive military career. So stop compounding your error by writing 💩.

I was a boy soldier in 1972 and thoroughly enjoyed it. To think we had numerous junior soldier regiments all over the UK, bring them back I say. Wonderful watching these lads and lassies on exercise, brings back many fond memories, mind you it all changed when you went to your adult regiment LOL.

Great to see them at the start of their careers, but let’s not forget that these 16 and 17 year olds are already Veterans. Some might not make it through their training and reach their chosen regiment, but they will have already obtained the status of Veteran of HM Armed Forces - well done, and good luck in your futures.
