Take a look at the two countries GDP. And yes, whether your prejudiced mind can handle it or not, South Korea is one of the most technologically advanced nations in the world. I've been to many countries and have yet to see the quality of living as high as South Korea in terms of every day comfort, technology and living standards. None in Latin America, most of Eruope and even North America where the dirty streets in most metropolitan areas and crumbling infrastructure, terrible healthcare, out of control crime make it far less livable in terms of overall quality of life.

South Korea is one of the most wealthy and powerful countries in the world. Who are among the leaders in every facet of life. @Hqmptynpw I met nany S Korean in my life. S Koresn culture is quite famous in my country. I even do Taekwondo. So, no. My knowledge about S even both Korea is beyond what those westerners usually watch in their news.
