Some advice for the future: -Don't immediately rev an engine that's been sitting, let it warm up for a few - DTCs (trouble codes) / engine light resets usually after 24 hrs on a dead or disconnected battery, so you will not see an engine light come on until you complete the intended drive cycles Look forward to more of your content

Try Totally Awesome it cost around 10 dollars a gallon and works great on car upholstery. Pour it on scrub it in let it set and spray it off.

If you know the car will not overheat, engine running with air set to recirculate will move the ozone through the air vents.

Being a former Owner of a Detail Shop, you could have saved yourself time and money by simply Steam Cleaning the Interior of the car you were trying to get the smell of cigarette smoke eradicated.

@@markbocado2848 Great Question! It depends on the car, like if its been sitting for a really long time or have the maintenance required light on DEFINITELY. But if it has a sticker saying it’s due in 1500+ miles probably not. Most people like to do the oil change themselves to give them peace of mind on the maintenance done.

A four-wheel drive matrix with 120k in decent condition would get better than 4K around where I live in PA. I would have held out for more. Except that thing looked like it needed tires which knocks $400 off. Good luck with the next one

It'll definitely need a deep clean on the inside to remove all of the brown tar. 3 days of labor would be a few $100, so deduct that from the profit. Oh, and the time to go pick it up and the equipment used. I buy and sell furniture, and I often forget to add ALL of the actual costs of time and equipment, so really the profit is usually way less than I calculated. When all is said and done, probably a $600 profit.

I've never flipped furniture but I flipped many cars as a side hustle and tools and equipment don't figure into the profit/loss equation since they are used again and again, materials are usually the most overlooked because how much of the penetrating oil was used, same for the map has, soap and other cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc. The problem I have with putting a dollar value on time spent is that time is free when it's a side hustle, that time could have been spent on any number of non profitable endeavors and if you are putting that dollar amount into the sale price it's easy to overprice the car and take too long to sell . I always found it better for me to forget the time factor and only consider the actual money spent on the car. This guy got lucky on this car, buying it sight unseen, buying at an auction is a gamble even if you can inspect them beforehand since you can't drive them. The unknown problems that often occur are going to make the time spent the least of your worries.

The car is supposed to running with air/heat on full blast and with the recirculating air ON for the chosen time to really use that ozone machine effectively and to make its way throughout the car instead of masking it with temporary sprays. Good video though.

I never saw an ozone machine make much of a difference. Cigarette smell will always be in the vent system , carpet and seat material. The things that are being done will help but not much. A stinky dog smell is even worse!

A toyota Matrix. That's one of the cars mechanics refer to as a Disposable car. In other words, once it's about 8 years old, these types of cars are worth nothing. If they break down, it's not worth fixing. My grandsons each had a car similar to this one. These were the first cars for both of them. They ran them for about 2 years. Once it came time to repair them, they were already worth nothing. They towed them to the salvage yard. There at least they got $200 dollars a piece . I wouldn't buy a car like this regardless of how cheap it was selling for.

If you want to experience an Auction govto Japan it's CRAZY BIG 1 Auction place there has over 14,000 vehicles it's like an Airport !! MANY cool & unique vehicles you've NEVER seen in your life. This is also a dealer Auction each vehicle has a VERY detailed inspection sheet and if you buy a vehicle & it's not as described on the sheet you can return it to the Auction. I bought 5 vehicles when i was there 5 yrs ago. Example 2001 B.M.W. Z3 Excellent 👍 condition 50,000 kms ONLY $ 900 USD !! Other cool vehicles ONLY $ 500. Im from Canada for us the vehicle has to only be 15 yrs or older in the USA unfortunately 25 yrs or older. Some Americans buy the vehicle's import them but you have to wait till 25 yrs to register them.
