Best wishes from California! Glad you guys are enjoying Nepal travel. We called Chiya (Tea) in Nepal. When you eat the Dal Bhat thali, remember to remove the small bowls from the thali to better enjoy your meal. It's hot weather with rainy season, so be careful when traveling to mountainous areas. Please do a little research before going to restaurants for low spicy foods. There are some super famous restaurants in Kathmandu and other cities in Nepal. Since you guys have already visited India and Bangladesh, it's going to be a peaceful travel experience for you. Take care!

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is a vibrant and culturally rich destination with a plethora of attractions. Here are some popular places to visit in Kathmandu: 1. Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): A UNESCO World Heritage site, this ancient Buddhist stupa sits atop a hill and offers a stunning panoramic view of the city. It is also known for the playful monkeys that inhabit the area. 2. Boudhanath Stupa: Another UNESCO World Heritage site, Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in Nepal and an important center of Tibetan Buddhism. The stupa is adorned with prayer flags and surrounded by shops and monasteries. 3. Pashupatinath Temple: This sacred Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in Nepal. It sits on the banks of the Bagmati River and is known for its stunning architecture and religious rituals. 4. Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square are historic palace squares that showcase ancient palaces, temples, and courtyards. Each square is a UNESCO World Heritage site and provides a glimpse into Nepal's rich history and architecture. 5. Thamel: This bustling neighborhood is the heart of Kathmandu's tourist district, offering a wide range of restaurants, shops, and accommodations. It's a great place to experience the city's vibrant nightlife and shop for souvenirs. 6. Garden of Dreams: Located in the heart of Kathmandu, the Garden of Dreams is a tranquil oasis with well-maintained gardens, fountains, and pavilions. It's a perfect place to relax and escape the city's hustle and bustle. 7. Hanuman Dhoka: Part of the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka is the old royal palace of the Malla kings. It houses various museums that showcase Nepal's art, history, and culture. 8. Narayanhiti Palace Museum: Formerly the royal palace, this museum provides insights into the Nepalese monarchy and history. Visitors can explore the lavish halls and learn about the country's past. 9. Patan (Lalitpur): Separated from Kathmandu by the Bagmati River, Patan is known for its well-preserved ancient architecture, traditional Newari culture, and numerous temples and courtyards. 10. Kopan Monastery: Situated on a hilltop, Kopan Monastery is a famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery that offers meditation courses and retreats for visitors seeking spiritual experiences. Remember to be respectful of local customs and traditions while visiting these places, and enjoy the unique cultural experiences that Kathmandu has to offer.

1. It is believed that if you make a wish and throw the coin inside the pot, your wish will come true. 2. The wheels like things on the top is called Prayer wheels. Rotating those will purify your deeds and karma. 3. The reason behind clockwise means positive direction and god is always at your right. Also, clockwise is the direction in which the mantras are written is that of the movement of the sun across the sky.
