First DAY of our CAMPERVAN tour goes WRONG | Englethwaite Hall CAMC site |

Welcome to day one of a month of us touring in our 6M campervan with our cocker spaniel dog. After a hellish journey finding the campsite, we wished we had rewatched ‪@BobEarnshawMoHo‬ video on "How not to arrive at Englethwaite Hall " Don't follow your satnav here! This is a tongue in cheek video of day one of our tour when things go wrong & instead of reacting by kneejerking into stress heads, we use humour to get us through! We get off to a bad start with van problems, down a tiny narrow single track road! We have to extend our stay at the beautiful Englethwaite Hall CAMC in Cumbria, until we can book the van in with a garage. I have done a quick walk around of the site on this video. But there will be more videos of Englethwaite Hall coming showing you in more details this beautiful site. Filmed in July of 2023, we leave home with no plan on where we are going, watch the rest of the series to follow our travels on this epic adventure full of ups and downs. This campervan allows us the freedom of travelling in all seasons, we actually do most of our travelling in the Autumn/Winter as I have lupus disease | SLE | We stay on campsites & caravan touring parks, Aires & wild camp out in nature. We like to walk | hike with our cocker spaniel dog "Charlie" taking in breathtaking scenery of the countryside and the coast. There is something so magical about driving through the mountains and tourist areas in a campervan. Buying local produce to take back and cook in the campervan, or stopping at an independent shop for coffee and cake helping to support the local economy. Oh Em, we had the same problem with our sat-nav, and yes like yours it is programmed for a lorry. It has got us into some very bad/scary situations. It looked lovely at Englebert Humperdinck 😂😉 site.

i once returned from holiday to find the TV WIFI and TV box were all not working. Called out the aerial engineer assuming that was the problem. He had it all working in one minute as I had forotten that I had unplugged everything including the aerial. I had put the electric plugs back in but not the aerial. Bless him he didn't charge me.

Thanks for the mention. We had a service indicator warning light come up when we were in France. We had a Fiat garage reset it for us. The garage who serviced it hadn't reset the service light after the service. Maybe the same for your oil warning? Exactly the same happened to us with our DJI mic magnet. Stuck in the same place on the door!!

Hi 👋 You’re welcome, we had an awful time finding the site ☺️ Yes, it’s strange, it wasn’t due service until November 🤷‍♀️ But yes perhaps the garage forgot to reset it. With all the issues we’ve had with the ECU I think we just thought the worst! We didn’t want to drive it, until we spoke with a mechanic 🙃But luckily, it just a warning reminder for service/oil change 😁 How strange is that with DJI 😂 I was so relieved to have found it, lucky it was ok despite the door being shut on it 🤭 Thanks for watching, really appreciate it. nice site! cute fairy tree garden walk, so cute. glad you were able to get charlie's meds dealt with. we got caught out of town without marty's prescription food, but were lucky in that a local vet had it and called our vet for approval. sorry about the lack of signal. someone drove through our cable fiber in our alley this past week and we were days without our internet! good thing i like books and puzzles. i'm so happy they fixed it and now i'm catching up on so much. OMG IT WAS UNPLUGGED! 🤣🤣🤣 looking forward to the rest of the trip em! and congrats on 1k! 🛴❤

Four weeks in the van? We did about 3½ weeks and another day would have resulted in a divorce. A long weekend with no TV was bad enough for my wife and it was my fault. We were using a laptop with a TV dongle and guess who packed the wrong laptop charger? She had about 3 hours worth of TV to be rationed out and it was a wet October weekend. Fortunately the wind up radio working and Radio 4 was enough to stop her demanding that we drove home. We've used Mount View Campsite in Abington in the past when Moffat has been fully booked. There is a nice walk along the riverbank for the dogs.
