in an suv , sub facing back along with port facing back is superior, then its sub facing up, with port facing back, the issue is you can only run a limited amount of subs facing the back due to space, so then your forced to have them all facing up ,which is still not bad. any other variation of position wont be as loud, unless you wall it off, but most people are not that extreme

@michaelk23785 жыл бұрын
Hey Parker, relatively new subscriber here but I really appreciate your content, variety, and the most extensive car audio brand comparisons on You Tube. Great Work Bro!!! I have two questions. Could you please share the Bl ratings of each sub? Per my understanding that's the raw magnetic force of the sub's motor structure. I'm thinking they place a known weight on the sub, apply a positive DC voltage, and measure how far the sub lifts the weight. That's about the truest rating to represent how strong each sub's motor is. And a better indicator of how strong each magnet is along with the flux density of the voice coil. If a voice coil isn't optimally wound or has gaps or uneven insulation causing gaps between windings it doesn't matter if it's larger. And if a magnet has a wider gap for the voice coil to move through it doesn't matter if it's heavier, it may be weaker than a magnet with narrower gaps that can transfer more flux density to the voice coil. The Bl measurement is a true measure of how these factors all function together. My second question is could you give us the "Impossible Sub Video" we all want to see, wait for it... all these subs you've been comparing and talking which manufacturers under-rate their subs, could you demonstrate that? Run each sub at rms rated power for 15 mins, then every 5 mins ramp it up 100Wrms until each sub blows? Nobody's done it and with as many subs as you have bought Bro, it would be the greatest test of manufacturer honesty and build quality such a large group of subs has ever been put through. Totally EPIC Bro!!!

also one more thing i seen that you said that you’ll put extra glue on the surroundings of the subwoofer, what type of glue would i use?

Jorel Castro E6000 is what most people recommend
@tylerherod79505 жыл бұрын
Yeah bro sick setup!! But I must say you WILL gain if you just run wire though thoes holes you made and not use the bolts & if you face the port twords the back to give it something to load off of not only will you move more air but you will be noticeably louder. I'm not a meter but that looks like mid 130Dbz. Sick video bro been waiting to see one of these.💪
@JN-535 жыл бұрын
Oh and also even tho the subwoofer recommends a box that’s around 2.12- 2.8 cubic feet ported would it be okay to have a box around 1.75 cubic feet that’s ported
@ParkerTheBasshead5 жыл бұрын
Jorel Castro it won’t hurt the sub but you just won’t get the optimal performance from it

Right... I really don't like the way you did those terminals. I don't know why but it feels bad. Nonetheless subbed for the face when you saw it thumping. That was genuine surprise and pleasure. So yeah good job. I like it that you have this enthusiasm for the bass.

Did u run them?

@@HardKnocks160s. No, I never got a chance to buy them. I tried to get the company to sponsor me. They felt the prices were good where they were, so, I decided not to run them.

Hey as you got the destroyer you should get the Rockville db16 amplifier to go with it. It sounds good on the audiopipe but bro it will definitely be a monster with the db16.

What do you guys think between these subs? Rockville Destroyer 15 vs Massive Audio Hippo 15 vs American Bass HD 15?

I agree, well said.

I seen they was having premature failure with the coil's that's it good but what I hurd they did do right with helping the customer out which is a good sign in my book.
@mikewaters63395 жыл бұрын
@@floydbeard5073 I believe they fixed the issues. My buddy now has the v2 of the k9 12" subs and they are definitely sounding better. Rockville customer service, did step up for him and took care of the issues.. I stepped away from Rockville for abit because of the issues. Now they seem to be working good , I may get some of their stuff again. They make nice affordable equipment, just don't understand why they have three rating.. just need to stay with Max and RMS, no need for the over rated BS..
