First Descent? Mountain Biking Mount Glory on an 18 SC Hightower LT

Often skied, (almost?) never ridden, Mount Glory delivers again. As far as I know we're the first to ride this from the top, though considering how crazy Jackson is we're probably going to hear someone else did this in the 90s. On a rigid single speed. With no brakes. And he rode it to the top without dabbing once after running the Grand. Plus, we probably can't claim it as we had to walk a few sections. Nate and I nearly 40 years of riding between us and we both agree, this is the steepest thing we've tried to ride. Add some loose cobbles & shale to the mix and its a miracle we ended in one piece.
Fun Fact: Brakes turn purple right before they hit their melting point ;)

That is some scary, slippery descent. Even on camera looks freaking steep. LOVE your comment about the fork: "(yeah, that's the problem)" hahahahahahaha

What happen there? GoPro doesn't do the steepness justice.

It does not. Average of this is just under 40%. Most steep trails are in the 20s. Add the loose rock and yeah...this was hard.

That's my brakes way of saying "NOOOOOOO, this is going to SUCCCKKKK". (the slope we were riding down averages 40% in the fall line - according to Google Earth). Obviously we are generally cutting across the fall line but that gives you some idea of how steep this really is...
