@J.M.-nb4gw Not really. My husband and I have fallen on difficult times. We were upper middle class for the first twenty years of our marriage. I was planning to work after my husband retired, as he is twenty-two years my senior. However, I got extremely ill when I was 47 and haven't been able to work since (I am sixty three.) Medical bills piled up because I had no insurance until I received disability. All our savings went to those bills. We now live on social security. But never, not one time, have we considered divorce. I feel very guilty for not being well and not being able to take care of him. He has never tried to make me feel bad about it at all. He and I love each other deeply, more now than ever.

I always feel so left out every year on Valentine's Day because I have never had a boyfriend, a fiancee', or a husband, however, it is still very nice that my Mom and I celebrate this day every year by giving each other a box of candy.
