saw him in the savagegeese vid, great guy; that was aware of the engineering/constraints in this era that was still dedicated to offering "something" for those that were interested. Sure the price is UP there in the realm where AWD and larger displacement can be found with forced induction or an MR option etc. BUT for those that WANT IT/own one of these on the road they will have my respect, the car took dedication to bring off the platform and will have equal dedication by its owners.

At the MSRP the car is set to start at, and then add the dealer mark up (greed)? The math doesn't equate to this being anything you'd want/willing to pay for with anymore go fast R&D to just the initial buy-in of this car. All the best to you if you just have to have this car 👍

I was about to add that same comment that super handling all wheel drive on this thing would make it an amazing vehicle. Straight front wheel drive? Funny how the rep tried to sell the 5 door lift back. If this car was a 2 door hatch you would have even more people turned away due to the dealer adjustment. Can't even get a Civic Si because the dealers treat them like rare cars and mark them up.
@chrisrobles2012

If Honda/Acura put restrictions on the dealer to sell only at msrp for the first year, they could make a lot more money the second year as people would increase the take rate at market competition. But to add in 10k and push customers to Bmw or other cars that handle better and look better is what keeps happening.

My Dad had a 1995 Acura Legend five speed manual V6 that was so much fun to drive. When I graduated high school I bought an old 1993 Integra manual transmission that was almost as fun to drive. Finally, around 2007 my dad sold me his Legend and I have been driving it ever since. It now has 294,321 miles as of today and it has been a fantastic car. I have had to have the leather seats replaced and a lot of the interior including the dash replaced, but it still drives great and handles excellent for it's age. My next project is getting it repainted in its beautiful forest green. BRING BACK THE ACURA LEGEND!

Dear Honda, all I can think as I look at it is picturing it with two doors. We’re on six years without a Honda coupe by my estimate, not counting the NSX. Look how many coupes Toyota has, and with amazing internal combustion engines. This thing is screaming “Make me an RSX!” It’ll be Legendary. I’ve had two Accord EX Coupes, one with the most amazing manual I’ve ever owned, and two Civic EXs, one also a coupe with an amazing manual. I’ve been driving a 2007 Solara Coupe for a long time because it’s amazing and beautiful with a body kit and chrome wheels, and I couldn’t find a newer Accord in an upper trim level and nice wheels with a ride I didn’t find too harsh. Except for a 2017 Touring Coupe with full HFP package that was drop dead gorgeous and had a surprisingly sublime ride that I got this close to buying two weeks before the pandemic started. I lost sleep for a week over whether to buy it, but was thankful to still have my savings and no car loan during the pandemic, and my beloved Toyota coupe. But I can’t get that fine HFP Accord out of my head and have been hoping you will surprise us with some great internal combustion coupe with a body kit and sublime ride that I can cherish and enjoy for the rest of my life. I’ve been working my butt off to hopefully start my collection soon, and it’s all Toyota coupes at the top of my list. I was thinking my first purchase might be a manual GR Corolla until this Integra was announced. If I do get one, I’ll feel like I’m settling for five doors but will always be picturing it with three and never giving up hope for an amazing new Honda coupe.

I was born in 1986. The Integra had just come to life under the Acura brand in 1986. The DB8, which was the very first Integra Type R in a 4-door sedan variant, which was forbidden fruit from North America, came out in 1995-1997, and I was between 4th-6th grade. The DC2 came out from 1998-2001, and I was between 6th-9th grade. The DC5 came out in 2002-2006. I was in 10th-12th grade from 2002-2004 and out of high school from 2004-2006 working my first job out of high school. I didn't get my driver's license until I was 20, and the DC5 RSX/RSX Type S was ending production early being replaced by the 1st gen 2004-2008 TSX. I missed all of the years of the Integras and RSXs if you take away the fact when it started and when I was born. I didn't get into the Integra and RSX until Need For Speed Underground, Need For Speed Underground 2 for PlayStation 2, the original Fast and the Furious 1, and 2 Fast 2 Furious movies. After missing my opportunity, at least for the RSX and RSX Type S, it became a distant memory and forgotten. It was until 2022 when the Integra was coming back, came back as a 2023 model year, and caught my attention. November-December 2022 calendar year, the Integra Type S was coming to fruition. Here we are today, and the 2024 Integra Type S in calendar year 2023 is alive and well, and the top trim Integra is back under the Type S badge. The Integra/Integra Type S has caught my attention so much that I now officially want the Integra Type S as my 2nd brand new car real soon as a days off, road cruising, hang out with friends, road trip type of car and I am definitely going to get one without question. Wanting the Integra Type S and needing the Integra Type S will be an attainable dream car for me and if I time it right, I hope to get one somewhere around my birthday at whatever newest model year later down the road. It checks all of the right boxes, and I feel it will be a car that once I own one, it will be something not only worthwhile, but will make up for so much lost time after the disappearance of the Integra name in 2001, changed to the RSX for 2002-2006, and disappeared after 2006. Integra is back and in a huge way. The Integra Type S is without a shadow of doubt a winner in my books.

First import I ever owned was a 04 WRX STi. What car enthusiast like with the AWD, 6 speed trans and 300hp made the car a top 5 when it came to 0--60. The Type S and others will soon be gone to the Mpg restrictions coming in the next decade but hey we'll have EV's that now do 0-60 well under 4secs. I will miss the sounds that only combustion engines can make.

I owned a 1994 Acura Integra LS and a 1994 Acura Integra GSR. They were great cars; easy to work on, cheap parts, cheap on gas, and fun to drive. The hatch back was especially nice. The look of a 90's Integra has become iconic. And while the 2024 Acura Integra might be a great car too, it doesn't look like an Integra at all.

I watched another video about the Integra, and the reason they didn't do a retro look is because they weren't trying to make the old car - they wanted to make this car as if it had never gone out of production. Therefore, it would likely have had the very angular modern Acura design language like this one. Whether or not the decision to got this way was good one is up to you, but that was the goal and I think they met it.

16:10 thats a really good shot showing just how thick the side pillars are. I like it. Been considering a BMW 230i, but frankly, I'll take the 6-speed manual over the Beemer's 2 doors and RWD, which I'd prefer. I've always liked to reward companies that demonstrate smart engineering; love my '19 MX-5! I don't love this Integra's looks (a bit bulbous and too large) but, all things considered, I really like it. Plus I'll be able to get a dog or take friends with me to the beach. (And hey, I loved my '79 Honda Accord, my Honda Hawk NT650 bike and, of course, my four Mazda MX-5's, lol. Smart engineering rules!)

I know Acura specifically targeted the enthusiast market with the '24 Integra Type-S, but imagine if this car, with the same power had a DCT, or the 10 speed Auto from the 10th gen. Accord 2.0T. Sure, Honda has one of the best 6 speed's in the biz, but the choice of transmissions would bring more potential buyers (those who can't row their own gears for whatever reason). It's super easy to learn, especially on a Honda manual/clutch; yet some hate or can't handle manual's in heavy city traffic, or the mundane reality of typical stop-n-go congestion to get to their 9-5 gig. Great review, and discussion over a future classic, no doubt! You can truly see how much joy Jay was having just cruising and getting into the 2.0 from time to time. The Acura rep although repetitive, had some great insight on the model. Imagine if they'd gone coupe.. would've been nice change of scenery in the segment!

I have been driving an S2000 ever since, which has one of the greatest gearboxes ive ever driven. But now I need more seats and don't want to sell the S2000. With this new Integra dropping, I am back and ready to buy this Type S. It has everything I have been looking for. The only think I would like on this is slightly fatter tires - for cold climate areas with snow. Aside from that, the car looks like absolute perfection.
