He is the chief engineer and does all the videos for new owners of Corvette since the C5 models and on but was there before to. He makes the big decisions. But this model crakes me up cuz they went back to the C5 gas cap and the Corvette written dead center on back . No one talks about that. But alot of people love the C6 great C7 model apparently the C8 is better.

I ordered my 2021C8 on Wednesday they said they’re going to call me in six weeks and let me know when production is going to start I got the 3LT model with the Z 51 and added a few other features it was right about 85,000 sticker price not including delivery tax registration or any of the fees. I think you can get a beautiful car without all the extra stuff for around 60,000, I probably should’ve just went with the standard with the Z 51 package in the magnetic ride control but you only live once I’m over 50 years old I’ve worked hard my whole life so I went for it.

I agreed! Too bad J does not listen to the engineer when he repeatedly stated that this car has less than 500 miles and that is the torque restriction (to "break-in" power-train system)....NOT because it is EX serial number or being transported around the country. That being said, GREAT review and would love to have J's contacts in GM! Mr .P

T. Howard look up Road and Tracks test of the new c8 and the first auto publication to Dyno the c8,..GM claimed 500hp,..rod and track died 5 Dyno runs and it shocked the world with the lowest test showing 550isj WHEEL HORSE POWER 670ish crank,..the lowest power they could get it to produce and doing it by dropping to a NOT recommended lower gear was what achieved that 550,...the top they got was 640 WHEEL HORSE POWER for the other 4 runs that's nearly 800 NA WHEEL HP!!!! So yeah it's going to be plenary. Good thing GM didn't build a 4 door all electric mustang Mach E scrossover lol . It's already tested

@@MZ-bl6wg They issued another article apologizing because the dyno settings were wrong. With the new results the car ended up making around 500hp at the crank.

I'd have to argue, since a few of those cars (well GT500 and Vette) are no longer available with a manual transmission. You can't fight progress, I guess.

@@iamtherealzombie manual is a great way to drive a car but with todays technology cars with paddle shifters and modes exclusively for sport and racing, its just way better. More efficient and quicker than a manual gearbox. Plus, when you dont feel like speeding or your're in heavy traffic it helps not to be riding a clutch the whole way too.

Yep. No longer can anyone seriously justify $250,000 just because it has a prancing horse or an angry bull on the hood. The company that builds economical family sedans and work trucks just splashed mud all over them.

bohba13 ... Not really? Porsche, McLaren, Ferrari n Lamborghini would most probably tell you that if you’re in the working class category.... our cars are not for you ....
@joe6096
@joe6096 4 жыл бұрын
@@Boomboom-ox9hn Oh that's not the point. They can tell you all day that if you're working class our cars aren't for you, but millionaires who actually work for their money and are smart with it typically aren't wasteful. If they have two cars in front of them, both with 0-60 sub 3 seconds, both with the same world class handling and performance, both mid-engine, and both with all the most modern technology and style, with one for $65,000 and the other for $250,000..... even though they can easily afford the $250k car they will most likely opt for the $65,000 car because there is no need for them to spend the extra money to get the same performance, style, and technology. That's got nothing to do with "working class can't afford it"

@Martin Schmidt Not this new 2020. Completely different car, different class, different in every aspect from the old Corvette. Drive it first then get back to us. Perhaps you missed the part where Jay himself noted that the BASE new 2020 Corvette is almost as fast as the old ZR1.

Yup. I have a client who, when I showed him the car and the base price point, he mentioned it was cheaper than his crossovers. It's a great price-performance bargain. I wouldn't put base income towards it - but I could see selling 8 canvases to obtain one easy (I always let side projects pay for toys).
