First Drive in the 1967 Volkswagen Beetle | Rescue ?

Dubwerks 67 Vw Beetle first drive didn't go too well as we had to trailer his car back to the shop. If that wasn't enough he is getting the runaround from the CT Dmv for the registration of his 5 years of restoration, Volkswagen Bug.

I remember teaching Chad Davis how to weld when he was 8 years old. Now he is one of the best fabricators I have ever seen in my life. Get him on the welder ASAP in a Leather condom of a welding suit. He will make it happen.

So glad I live where I don't have to deal with the DMV and mainly no inspections. After 20 years with no inspections you would think I would see junk on the road... but hardly ever see that. 5:14 I had to go to the DMV here, twice during the covid restrictions. I was in and out of there Faster than any other time in the past 7 years! That includes the line outside! 18:30 Is the timing off? Did the distributor slip? Josh has no idea how lucky he is to have you for his father. You pay attention to him. You talk with him not at him. You listen to him with respect. That is the single most important thing a parent can do to build a child's self awareness, self worth and respect.

Love this 67.when I was stationed in Berlin in 67 my Army issued vehicle (811)was this car. 3 on the floor NO HEAT in the winter. I loved going down to the Kuferstendamm...(Kudamm) when my Sgt Major gave the OK...great memories

@@5150mxVW I had just got my learners permit and my brother totaled my dads 1959 VW. At first it was in front of the house when I started working on it. I knew nothing about auto bodywork. My source of power tools was limited. However I had my dad’s brass ball pean hammer. My brother rolled the car through a wire fence which caught the left rear wheel. He ran over a post damaging the front and the hood, damaged 3 fender, and dented the rod on the left passenger side. I taught myself auto body repair. I was horrible. My greatest improvement was from an old mechanic who showed me how to make a home maxed dent puller. That really helped. In hind sight I should have cut the front out replaced the hood. I didn’t have a way to cut the front end off except with a hack saw. I drove that car to college for 2 years till the engine burned out the main bearings. Fond memories. Kept working with Josh. He has skills.

I had that happen last year coming back from justins shop ran out of gas on my way home , walked 2 miles in the rain and drove back with gas started right up. I like the plates. pretty cool with the vw in it. Wait till you see that plates on my new truck , ill have to make a video , literally BLEW my mind.

Dubwerks!!!!! With experience it always gets easier (unless you are 5150mxVW,,,, hahaha). Your car is looking soo good. It is always the small stuff you are working on that kills ya now. It takes longer than you expected and is surprisingly expensive!!! Those little pieces are a bit of shocker $$$. Josh is awesome! Dub's car looks BEAUTIFUL. It's even the right color. Man Josh is savage! lol he wasn't cutting you any slack. When he busted you on just pushing cars around I almost fell out of my chair i was laughing so hard! Looks like the weather up in New England is finally not horrible. I finally got the rear brakes done on the 57 Chevy so all I need to do is get an inspection and get my registration up to date. Here in Texas that's a pretty easy minimal hassle task. Also thinking about starting my own channel. I've got a "Will it Run" project lined up, for openers.
