I have a brushed slash. It is fun to drive on the track against other equal cars. I couldn’t pass on the losi 22s sct for $139.00. It is brushed also but it’s faster then the slash. Brushed is fine for oval tracks and tracks without long straights. But the brushed motors do not last very long in dirty dusty conditions. A brushless up grade for the cheaper losi would be a great car at a cheap price.

Agree 100% - I have never had a brushed motor last long in a basher. Gets really frustrating constantly replacing the motors.

@@RoadsideRC 100% buddy one day I’ll get round to finishing my 6x6 hilux off-road motor home trail truck. Don’t imagine it ever being able to technically crawl anything like competitively but then it’s not built for that lol. I like different and it’s nice to see companies changing things up a bit. Good on them

Hey Roadside, did you happen to try putting the LT10 truck body on the SC10? Maybe it would fit with some trimming of the wheel wells?

The wheelbase length is VERY different. It will not fit.

The Dakar would take a little to get used to body wise,but overall they seemed to perform well, I would think the sc10 would handle better because of the length,great video

So I have mixed feelings on this release or at least question how they'll sell. First we know they're great trucks based on that same SC10/pro2 platform. That's a given. They're just a shorter wheel base. I suppose if someone wanted to race a Dakar rally type rig and wanted it scale as in smaller than a 1/10 SCT, sure. But could AE just made a Dakar rally body to fit their existing pro 2 body? I guess I'll be curious to see how these sell. IDK maybe with the shorter wheelbase if someone wanted to covert it to a buggy that'd be more attainable. Thinking out loud here. What AE really needs to do is roll out the RTR version of their mid motor SCT then that thing would sell like hot cakes.

Yes - I agree 100%. That was part of my core conclusion at the end of the video. This truck is probably for a small sub-segment of the full Pro2 SC10 crowd - especially at what results to be the same price.

@@RoadsideRC I'm right with you. I commented as I was listening and I fully agree with you at the end. Might as well just save some cash and get the regular Pro2. I do think the Losi 22s SCT for the money is about the best 2wd bang for your buck one can get but that one has been out of stock for some time now so who knows what's going on with it. Looks like Pro2 is the reigning affordable 2wd champ.

I said it in a comment before but I think it would be fun to see a baby SCT class at the track since this compares more closely to the RB10. I doubt a track would let you run this in the SCT class... but maybe? Also all the racing kits have gone mid-motor but there were a couple RB10s racing last night

@@RoadsideRC Oh yeah totally agree. My local track is indoor carpet with jumps and table tops (and a p tile drift track). I run a B6.3 but they have (4) wheeler classes, stadium truck and SCT. Watching the chaos of the SCT and stadium trucks is an absolute blast
