I love watching people experience BLACKPINK for the first time. If you loved Pretty Savage, definitely check out the live version they performed on James Cordon’s show. Way heavier rock elements and their stage presence is just so good!

Appreciate you so much for reacting to the entire album! For us Blinks, this album is so special not only because it's their first, but we know how much they worked so hard on this. It's so meaningful especially the last song You Never Know, mostly talking about their experiences and hardships they've gone through the years. Blackpink as a group and as individual members received a lot of unnecessary hate, criticisms, and judgment since their debut (2016) until now, in which most of the time they remain silent and kept the pain to themselves. They've always been a target of haters whenever they release something new. These girls seriously don't deserve all these hatred being thrown at them each time. So I'm not really suprised if they somehow responded back thru music and thru this album. THE ALBUM title really fits it. Most of the people don't realize that they are just like other human beings too who only wanted to fulfill their dreams and give their best effort to be loved by their fans and live with peace. They are really humble and kind to be honest. These girls are really special and we know that they will always shine in our eyes. Thank you so much! If you still want to dig into their history and react to their early songs which are all fire and bangers. You'll be blown away too since you love the beats, videography and the concepts. Here's a list: - Kill This Love - Boombayah - Whistle - Playing With Fire - As If It's Your Last - Stay - Solo by Jennie - On The Ground by Rosé - Gone by Rosé - Lalisa by Lisa If you wanted to know more about them personally and individually: - An Unhelpful guide to Blackpink (2019 or 2020 version) - Their Netflix documentary Other recommendations: - Live Coachella and concert performances - Dance practice videos which some are their B side tracks that are fire as well - Other B side tracks without MV - Rosé's song covers on her own KZbin channel Ang lastly, their new album is dropping on Sept 16! And a world tour concert will follow. We will all be waiting! Thank you so much!

I think it's so awesome that you're giving Blackpink's music a try. I feel like a lot of people dismiss it just cause it's K-Pop, not realizing how many amazing songs Blackpink has (and just how many great K-Pop songs there are. This was the first K-Pop album I have heard, before I completely dismissed anything to do with it, after hearing The Album I instantly became a Blink and it help introduce me to a genre I never thought I would enjoy 🙏🙏🙏

Making Lovesick Girls the title track for The Album is the best decision ever made. Personally, it's the fullest song they did. It has a music video, as well as Ice Cream! Pretty Savage does not have a music video, but it has been promoted as well on mainstream, so they have performances on it. My favorite track is Crazy Over You! I love the push and pull factor, the anti-drop, the overall vibe, and that outro! I don't know if I'm just biased but The Album is a no-skip playlist for me. Everything is a banger, really. Many were mad that a full album just consists of this number of songs, when they should have released more. But being from YG, we all know they prioritize quality over quantity. They probably have more tracks recorded for BP, but all these songs are just perfect that they could individually be a title track on their own. How crazy is that????

It's great that you're liking Blackpink! They are the reason I'm into Kpop now. Here are some recommendations based on what I've heard so far from Kpop: - Lisa - Lalisa I saw your reaction to her other solo "Money". I like both songs but I think Lalisa is more interesting tbh. It also has a catchy chorus as it's expected from every kpop song - Jennie - Solo Another solo song from a Blackpink member, this one is more pop, so I don't know if you'll like it, but it has a really good instrumental. - Enhypen - Drunk Dazed This is a boy group. The chorus on this song is really crazy. I think the best description that I can give for this song is that it really captures the "Drunk Dazed" feeling, like when you're in a club trying to walk to the bathroom and you start to notice that your feeling dizzy and your movement is more sluggish so you have to walk with one hand on the wall to make sure you dont fall lmao. Ive - Love Dive Again, this one has a really catchy chorus and strong instrumental, for some reason it reminds of songs from the early 2010s - Aespa - Next Level - Aespa - Savage - Aespa - Girls I've just gotten into kpop recently, but the group that really has captured my attention more than any other groups is Aespa. I think they really take the concept from kpop of mixing different genres together and take it to another level. I can guarantee you that at least of these songs will surprise you. Another cool thing from them is that they actually have a concept/story that ties together their debut single and their 2 mini albums. So if you like things like concept albums, Aespa's universe is really cool. It also connects with a Universe that their Label, SM Entertainment, has created for a lot of their artists, kinda like a Marvel thing

IVE and newjeans are newer groups that don't have a single miss in their discography. Great reaction. You need to witness Country/Folk side of Blackpink in Whistle (transition from Rap to Country in a fraction of a second then Latin then pop, in a hallucinatory dream like MV) and Stay (BP channeling Taylor Swift Indie/Folk side). But you will likely prefer loud and proud "all in your face" Blackpink in Boombayah and Kill This Love, which are awesome. Yep, they have range.
@Jordybears2 жыл бұрын
If you're enjoying the genre bending nature of a lot of these songs, and enjoy the more hip-hop oriented bangers, I reckon you'll really enjoy a lot of the larger k-pop acts from the last 4 or 5 years. Blackpink are great but they definitely skew to the more accessible and western-sounding side of the k-pop spectrum... as I assume has probably been said to you in the comments a few times by now. The real gold is honestly in the smaller artists, as producers of smaller groups tend to be given free reign to get nutty (Dreamcatcher's Babymetalesque rock-fusion concepts are a great example of this), but naturally they wont bring in the same view count. If you're interested in checking out some other artists, any artist under SM Entertainment might be a good idea. They kind of invented the multiple songs in one concept that has defined k-pop for over a decade now. Their largest group, NCT, have a comeback on the same day as the Blackpink album which might be great for bringing some views in! They're for sure the next biggest group after BTS and Blackpink.Their biggest girl group, Aespa, also might be worth a listen as SM has been doing some ridiculous (and a little bit tacky) stuff with them in the last couple of years. Stray Kids are another act that'll have fans flocking to reaction videos and they've got some of the most creative MVs in the industry on top of being on a major run of bangers.

You should check the rest of Blackpink's discography, they have some more mvs and those songs are all the style you like + they have really good b-sides on their earlier mini albums. Also Jennie and Rose have solo projects out and Lisa has another song called Lalisa (her full name) which she put out with Money. You could also watch some live stages like Coachella or Tokyo dome, their songs always have an extra kick live because they have a band and are great performers (Tokyo dome dudududu remix is one of my favorites to date). When you're done with Blackpink, if you want to check out more Kpop, definitely start with Stray Kids, they're amazing and based on your taste I think you'll like especially Thunderous and God's Menu. Also they are a self produced group, three of the members, the leader Bang Chan and the main rappers Changbin and Han were a hiphop trio called 3RACHA before debuting and now they're the main producing team for the group. (Little fun fact: Bang Chan and Lisa are actually good friends. If you look up on KZbin "Chan's Room reaction to Blackpink" you'll find videos of him reacting to some Blackpink songs and solos. Also Stray Kids were on a survival show named Kingdom where they performed an amazing mash up of their song God's menu and of Blackpink's song DUDUDUDU. On that same show Lisa made a guest appearance for iKON's cover of Pretty Savage, they're also a great, mostly hiphop group under YG, the same label as Blackpink).

Brand new subscriber here! I found your Renaissance reaction video a couple of weeks ago right after listening to the album for the first time and being blown away. I've watched that like 3 times, and now finding all the Blackpink content was the cherry on top. Now I've scrolled through the videos of the last 3 years adding a few to "Watch later" and crossing my fingers for something that seems you haven't reacted to yet: CHLOE X HALLE! If you ever have some downtime, start with their legendary (and ancient) cover of Beyonce's Pretty Hurts, and welcome to the rabbit hole. PS: While I'm here I may as well: Your comment about Beyoncé deciding to make a NIN style song about her ass made me LOL, but also instantly made me wish for reactions to that type of music too, seems you enjoy it a lot. Also, "All up in your head" is my personal song of the year; it's like she had a threesome with Basement Jaxx WTF
