This actually isn’t the normal commercial pop song. This song blew up because it’s brought pop punk sounds back to mainstream pop radio. Other pop girlies weren’t doing this sound since avril and paramore. It was huge when it came out because of that. I’ve always been a pop punk and emo fan so I’m glad that Olivia and MGK brought it back to mainstream.

she currently has the most streamed female album in spotify history and top 5 overall, with her being the first artist in HISTORY to have the ENTIRETY of her discography (two #1 albums) chart in the top 40 …imagine having every single song you’ve ever put out chart in the top 40 all before the age of 21 after only 3 years of being a recording artist lol give her the grace of checking out the masterpiece that is her artistry please !

btw there’s nothing commercial about her, her songs are all authentic and written from her own experiences no matter how radio ready they sound !

@@shayasims Actually it was very commercial the video it self is a commercial for samsung XD She released drivers license and then everything after was for publicity thats how labels work same with tyla she released water and then agency contacts with investments It is commercial

@@NumberOneLILIFAN she only had samsung sponsor at the beginning of g4u video and she used it with the context of the scene, so like i said shes very authentic even if she has commercial success

@@NumberOneLILIFAN and you dont need to explain to me how sponsored products i know quite well ? my point is that she doesnt just take whatever she's given, she selects things that still keep her authenticity in tact and that was my point from the start

Love Olivia. She's a talented singer & songwriter. Her Debut album SOUR is the most streamed female album on spotify. I think you will like her sophomore album GUTS more though since it's more mature than her first. All her songs since debut enters the Billboard Hot 100.

How did I miss this. Olivia is fantastic. She is a great song writer. The best thing is ppl trash her live vocals a lot which means she isn’t scared to be on stage and nit use AutoTune. She has a ton of great songs new and old.

I am shocked you didn't recoginse the Jennifer's Body Theme...She did a collection of songs about a bad breakup. If you listen to them in order they go through the whole emotional rollercoaster. Driver's License-Heartbroken Traitor-Realization Dejavu-Petty Bi*** ( this one is my personal Fave) also has less of the Tswift/Paramore feeling. Good 4 U- pi$$ed Vampire-angry acceptance. Lol

I’ve never understood the Taylor Olivia comparisons the only song of Taylor’s that has a somewhat similar vibe to this era of Olivia would be haunted or story of us

Olivia had to add the Paramore songwriters to the song writing credits of this song to avoid getting sued. Now they all get piece of the royalties. Smart on Paramore's part, instead of receiving huge lump sum in law suit, they get royalties for life. EDIT: If you are wondering why, compare hook here with that of Paramore's Misery Business.
