I am so pleased that you were able to go to Guyana for Christmas! Your grandparents must be so very proud of you! Moving on to your fabric: it was a delight to see your face as you described the fabric and what you expected to do with it. Your eyes came alive and you just glowed! I loved the video that you made with the swing coat and the lining that matched the dress. I really look forward to seeing what creative things you will do with this new haul!

Just found your channel. Adele Margolis published a book on tailoring last century. I learned how to traditional tailor in the pages of her book. Yellow wool is hard to find because white wool ambers as it ages. It is the nature of wool. Make up your garment and wear it often before your beautiful yellow begins to dull. So glad I found your channel.

I don’t know where you live but in California it is rare you get to wear much fall clothing at all. Fabrics types used for trench coats are about all you need. Maybe make a vintage style coat in a medium weight fabric and color you like and then make several mix and match pieces such as slacks, skirts, sheathes, blouses etc. in an array of complimentary and nice contrasting colors. That might satisfy the need for coverage and the need to look as “vintage cute-classy” as you can make it. I saw a 195p retro bow tie blue trench ADORABLE just can’t figure out how to get the link to you. Site is Retro Fairy - SO CUTE.

@@SewRena-smart girl to take your fabric home in a suitcase. I think mailing the fabric and filling out all the customs forms would be a giant, expensive hassle. If I ever travel again, I’ll follow your example & bring an empty suitcase or two for fabric and/or yarn treasures I may find.
