Super cute! Are you thinking of showing your car eventually? If you ever do, it would look so cool if you made a car blanket/outfit set (for example, in a matching plaid), along with a vintage picnic set for display.

I've never been interested in sewing anything from the 1960s -I'm more of a 30s/40s gal. But every time I watch you make something from the 60s I'm like, "Hmmm maybe I need this too?" Love this set! It turned out so fabulous! ❤🎉

I’m a 30s/40s gal too. Where do you get your patterns and / or fabric?
@tosewthyselfАй бұрын
@@HerzogenVonBallen I've used patterns from Decades of Style and Pictorial Patterns and a couple of vintage reprints that I found on Etsy. I really only have a couple of patterns which I then mess with the seamlines of to create different looks. I mainly shop for fabric on CaliFabrics & Mood, and on Vogue Fabrics for their Bemberg lining.

OMG a that’s so darling!!! Having the jacket lined with the pants fabric is so much fun!! You really do a great job bringing the original to life!! I’m with you about wearing wool next to my skin!! Itch City! I can even get welts the reaction can be so bad! I never thought of using cotton as a lining in pants. I guess whenever I’ve bought or made, lined pants, it’s been lined with a slippery fabric. Not sure why…. What kind of buttons did you use? Metal? Plastic? Leather? I couldn’t tell from the video. And OMG a the red shoes!! Perfect!

Thanks so much! I used gold metal buttons the original looked like they were gold and I had some vintage gold buttons laying around. The shoes were from Walmart and happen to be super comfy 🤗

I used to have a Kenmore Sewing Machine. Actually when I bought it it became my first ever credit purchase. They didn’t even have plastic credit cards back then. It was paper and the edges curled. When I went into the Army it was left with my family and my oldest sister claimed it. I don’t remember whether it still works or not. I think it does.

Oh, darn it! I'm vision impared and could hardly see You in the outfit on my phone: pants matched the fallen leaves ad the cutline was almost perfect for the jacket to melt into the foliage behind You. Great looks for the cooler months and the tip to allow ease at the waistband to tuck in shirts is so helpful. You mentioned in a previous video that a bullet bra helps with the way vintage clothing patterns are cut. Do you have any brand recommendations for those with a small bust? Most don't go too small in size range that I have found.
