The joist holes are not in the drill zones. Ive had building control sting me in the past on this. Need 300 to 500mm spacing on the clipping. Enjoying the videos , keep em coming

Great video, Luke. When you're putting in a secondary return on the hot water, presumably the main hot supply has to be copper as well because the water circulates around through both. I've seen two failures where the plastic pipe failed because the secondary was run in plastic, but the failure was in the hot supply pipe close to the cylinder.
@kaiser9100Ай бұрын
Your correct Martin👍
@bluebulldog_ukАй бұрын
@@martinwright7093 The main loop will be copper and where it branches off it will be copper but you can go down to plastic as long as it away from the primary circuit…basically on this where the water is pumped around all the time it will be copper. The hot will be one big circle going around the house
@jamescarter1088Ай бұрын
Secondary returns are notorious for popping leaks. The copper return wears paper thin.
@marknaylor6420Ай бұрын
So does both your primary and secondary need to be in copper?
@jamescarter1088Ай бұрын
@@marknaylor6420 if we are talking secondary hot water returns, then yes a secondary return must be in copper and would be 15mm and lagged, teed from furthest tap from the cylinder.

It means the hot and cold will be balanced so if they are run off the same time like on a shower you haven’t got one with more pressure than other, comes off pressure reducing valve when installed 👍

@@michaelbolt4530 it can get confusing, the hot is easy as that’s the copper pipe, it can get confusing but honestly when your on the site and working with the pipes you start to learn which is which.
