Pearl was so happy for her new dress, her reaction was so heartwarming to see. She’s such a beautiful and gentle girl. Little Zelda is ’reading’ already, her little comments were so sweet. She has this amazing library waiting for her as she grows older. They are all growing so fast, weren’t they all little babies just yesterday… Evan has grown so tall and beautiful, his voice has changed on his way to be a teenager. It’s wonderful to see them all thriving ❤️

I am an introvert and hated birthdays growing up (too much attention). When I was old enough, I started leaving town to spend the birthday with relatives so Mom couldn't throw parties for me. But then my sister had a son on my birthday so now, every single year, we celebrate together. And it's better because all the attention is on him. He's 11 now and still loves to spend his day with me, including this year, when I was recovering from surgery, which meant no party or outing. He's such an awesome kid.

If Evan likes long books, and judging from what else you’ve shared that he’s read, I think he’d LOVE Keeper of the Lost Cities. They’re long, 400-600 pages each, and there’s 10 books in the series and more on the way. It’s recommended for ages 8-12, but lots of older kids and even adults enjoy them as well.

Some people can be so insensitive, Im sure when the Children are of an age they may want to choose their own clothing, but for now they are still children, beautiful kind and caring and are happy and grateful for everything they get. Zelda did such a great job of getting that cupcake down so fast and didn’t even leave a single crumb! 😅 I know many people have been here from the start, so I’m newer than most, but have still been her awhile. Do you and Ro have a certain number of kids you want to have, or are you just taking things as they go and just seeing how life unfolds? Ah it’s so weird when their voice starts changing, Evan looks so grown up compared to the others and soon they’ll all follow. My friends younger sibling (who is the youngest of all the siblings I grew up with) will graduate high school this year and I still can’t get used to it, I remember buying snacks for him after school like it was yesterday😮

At Evan's age I bicycled into town a couple of miles to our tiny library and read book after book during the summer. We had a public pool in our backyard but preferred to read instead of swimming.

So funny, my baby was born on my birthday via emergency c section. I feel the same about my birthday. My baby is 5 months old and his current way of "reading" is shoving books in his face and kicking his feet. Hopefully he'll let me read board books to him soon. My husband and I only try to read him crinkle books and hand them to him when he wants them for now. I read him board books sometimes but he just to wants to shove everything into his face and wiggle. My fav new thing he is doing is grabbing my face to give me kisses. My daughter LOVED dresses and skirts SO much until she was about 11, then one day she stopped! She said none of the other girls wore them and I think she wanted to fit in...even though we home school, there is still peer pressure. 😭 But we still love home schooling!! Always enjoy every video! And in this one I especially enjoyed seeing lovely Pearl in her new dress--so pretty and bright. And Evan reminds me of our own bookworm kids. Evan might like to read my novels now that he's old enough; the first one I'd recommend to him is the only one with the boy as the main character (although there are boys central to all the stories): PAINT BY MAGIC. Might be right up his alley. I think it's available in Australia... though it's getting quite old now, as it was one of my earlier books! It was inspired by one of my own sons who was just Evan's age at the time and now is 35... and he said, 'Mom! Why are all your main characters GIRLS?' I think it was just because I imagined myself as the main character of each book... But in Paint by Magic the boy narrator just came to me. Anyway, it has magic and mystery and time travel... but no cats, I'm afraid, Evan. 😻

Evan voice!!! Time flies... Also Chloe, I know you said that there's things you wouldn't film and I respect that don't get me wrong, but I was wondering if you could talk about "difficult things". All your kids are very calm and at their best behavior, and I was curious if they talk about their fears or what they do when they're sad/angry, cause sometimes when kids are more introverted/calmer they can struggle expressing some things/saying when they don't like something, so they don't say or they use another strategies like being alone, draw, play footbal, etc. Also if you have book recomendations about emotions/feelings to work with children it would be great, I'm always searching your books and games to use with my kids 🙂

A few recommendations for you all to read The Deltora Quest series by Emily Rodda an Australian author. (plus it has an anime in Japanese). Secondly, anything by Diana Wynne Jones her books contain plenty of cats and dragons. My favorite book by her would have to be The Lives of Christoper Chant. Happy reading!

Have the older 6 read The Children of the Red King Series by Jenny Nimmo? It has 8 books plus a prequel trilogy and two follow up books, a movie is in the works. Also The Magician Trilogy By Jenny Nimmo are great, they were my first series to read. There are 3 main cats in the series for Evan.

Maud Hart Lovelace, Margaret Sidney and Carolyn Haywood. No it won't take her that long to grow in to it, first of all it's not that big on her, once you wash it, it will shrink a little if you dry your close, I don't try all of my I usually hang them up to save on shrinking, even washing shrinks things a little, but anyway it's not that big on her, it looks cute on her, it's always good to get clothes a little big because they grow so fast KIDS do❤️

It will be intresting to see when Otto will catch up to Even. When we were younger my sister got taller then me for a little while, but then I cought up really fast, and then I became much taller than her hahahaha.
