Hell is made of MANY provinces, With that puzzle-box building over the pit to that giant eyeball-creature made of souls being only 'One' place out of many. WHATS probably going to happen, If the current director of Berserk is smart, Is that the ending will involve the 'Tower Of Regret' and revealing whats down there by Griffith or someone else descending down into it for some reason, And it would only make sense - His 'Vision' he had throughout the entire story showed a 'Castle' and which was more like a 'Tower' than ordinary castles; The regret-tower was where he was tortured, And the key of whats going to happen to Berserk probably is tied to that place deep down inside for some reason as part of its ending. Also the ending is a matter of 'Whoever betrays whoever else first' - Which if it ISNT Griffith who does the Betraying..? It might even force him to want to side once more with Guts MERELY for the sake of his own life. That or both Griffith and Guts take eachother out at the same time - Ive SEEN that one weird drawing innumerable times online where they are LEAPING at one another and finishing off the other at the same time, And its probably part of the intended ending if Miura drew that. +

Ok, so given the whole history rhyming thing, I’m gonna assume that Void and Skull Knight in their human lives had a similar relationship as Guts and Griffith did. And that Skull Knight was the sacrifice for Void to become a God Hand. I also think that a sacrifice can’t kill their sacrificer, due to the fact that Guts couldn’t harm Griffith, so Skull Knight similarly couldn’t kill Void, and that’s why he’s the only surviving one.

History moves in cycles. I think perhaps that once there are 5 of the God Hand, something happens to end all but the newest.. perhaps their struggler - Skull Knight for Void, Guts for Femto - achieves a 'Victory', killing the other 3 one by one, before finally sacrificing their very soul to take down their nemesis. Meaning we cqn expect to see Guts take down Slann, Ubik and Conrad, perhaps at the cost of his humanity, while Skull Knight and Void meet their end togeather. Whats left of Guts will chase Femto down the centuries as another cycle begins...

I think there's a mention of a prophecy of the end of the world that is supposed to be ushered in by the falcon? This may be the specific ultimate act of evil it desires to cause. In the lost chapter, Evil explains itself as being produced by man's desire for their to be a reason for Evil, and so, in this way, it is willed to do evil by us. I am a big fan of the idea that there's going to be a "rival" god hand -- that there is, behind these two hands, a greater, dualistic god, willed into existence by humanity's desire for there to be a reason behind _everything._ The elemental, protective spirits that the witches invoke may be the members of this rival god hand. I think there might be a verse in the Bible or something about how god uses one hand to give, and the other to take. In Gnosticism, there's a similar idea, that the ultimate god is a god of all things, meaning both good and evil, and made up of all things, good and evil, and from this god emerges the divine hierarchy, including both good and evil deific or archonic forces.

Not really, this theory is predicated on the cooperation between the four kings and the idea of evil itself, which contradicts the entire lore, also why would the 4 kings leave then, did they leave 1 at a time, all together? Why do none of them really look like the elements at all? if not killing members of the godhand, what has skull knight been doing for a thousand years? Why does he know how and when to break back into an eclipse? Why does zodd alude to them having faced off countless time before if not guarding the eclipses just like the most recent one? Why would the fundamental nature of the godhand change from being ruled by astral beings to by corrupted humans? Also King Gieserick clearly wasn’t using the berserker armour the whole time only near the end. Like half the details like that in the analysis are wrong. Its not an expertly created theory.

i didn’t think that was the case i always felt like it was meant to show us that they are killable still. judea and casca also talk about how the city was taken out by 4 angels and one of them says l they heard it was 5 almost as if void replaced a part of the god hand that was missing and it explains why skull knight wants to take them out it also shows 5 god hand arent permeant they must die and or be replaced when the time comes letting us know that when griffith becomes a part of the god hand he can still be taken out some way

Glad to see I wasn't the only one with this thought after watching this! It's hard to tell what happened to the og God Hand, either taken out by Skull knight or overthrown/ replaced by Void. However, it doesn't seem in b any way that the 4 og's are one in the same with the 4 kings, perhaps more of evil counterparts. Generally, it's made out that right hand represents more holy and good, while the left is considered the evil. However, we know that the overarching theme in berserk and it's characters aren't cut and dry like that, and often go against expectation, holiness through torture and deceiving human kind into thinking these are saviors when they're evil, while the magic practitioners who seem to generally protect human kind are cast as the evil ones. So with that in mind, it wouldn't be a stretch to think that the good god hand would be represented here with as the left hand. With that said, there is currently only 4 kings, they would need a 5th to ascend to complete the hand and fully take on the evil god hand. Perhaps where the evil requires sacrificing all that you hold dear to ascend, the good require an ultimate self-sacrifice to ascend. It could be interesting to see what an ascended Gutts could do against ascended Griffith in a final showdown 🤔🤔

I think its more so that, there was more of a balance. The Four Kings and the Four Godhands. Where it is the nature of duality but also balance. Where Void is the human representation. Theres a saying, "Nature abhors a vacuum." Im not sure if there is similar sentiment or saying in Japanese, but a vacuum is empty space aka a Void. The involvement of humans in the natural order of the world, physically and spiritually, in my opinion, tipped the scales for evil to gain the upper hand in influencing events both spiritually and physically. The advent of Void, introduces a human element that not only brings about the advent of Femto, but also the corruption or erosion of the natural Godhand counterparts to the Four Kings. This is also the duality of how Void through his ascension brought about the end of the greatest Human empire, while also contributing to the advent of another human empire in Falconia, but one tinged and tainted with the presence of Demons/Apostles.

Yin and yang The Idea of Evil was able to bring forth the 4 horsemen & it's leader in the Godhand. I don't think there's necessarily an "Idea of Good" but I think there's a natural collective consciousness with people that create a heavenly afterlife. The 4 elementals are the guardians that protect the Earth & people. I think Guts' crew will be bestowed the powers/titles of the elementals to fight the Godhand. Wind - Serpico Fire - Farnese Water - Isidro or Isma Earth - Unknown. Maybe Roderick or Schierke Guts would be the wildcard member like Void who maybe melds with Skullknight & a collective power of good. I think Guts is more like Void because he's a ripple in causality, Void brought forth the Godhand & Guts has always been an anomaly.

The only thing I would disagree with this video is the notion that Gaiseric had always worn the Berserker armor which contributed to his legend as an undefeated king and allowed him to unite the continent. The more likely explanation was that, just like Guts, he had to resort to the use of the Berserker armor when he realized that he needed an edge to fight supernatural beings the likes of God hand and the apostles. Remember that the Berserker armor is a two edged blade that hurts just as much as it empowers. I doubt he would've even needed or wanted to use what amounts to a self-destructive weapon during his rise as uniter of the continent. I'm also not convinced about the Four Kings of the elements being the previous God Hand. The video makes a good argument about the spiritual representation of the elements and how space (or Void) plays into it, but that's not necessarily an indication that the Four Kings were the previous four God Hands. The reason being that that spiritual symbology of the elements were not implied or indicated in the later incarnation of the God Hand during Griffith's time. The current God Hand did not seem to represent any particular element. My personal take is that God Hands are not eternal, they rotate from time to time. Either because they can be subjected to destruction of some form, or they simply "move on". Perhaps some of them descend into a deeper level of the Abyss or simply choose to disappear. There is an argument for this because when Slan appeared in the Qliphoth, she made a mention of how the members of GodHand each went their separate ways. No longer together. Like a disbanded pop group 🤣 Even Slan's appearance wasn't dictated by any order of either Void or the typical call of the branding ceremony. Which made Skull Knight wonder as to the reason of her presence. To which she replied, it was her own desire (to see Guts). It seems to me, that the only thing we can truly count on, is that God Hand must always have 5 members. And when the fifth member shows up, it will herald a significant change. Both in the world and apparently, among the God Hand themselves. It was this way when the fifth GodHand ascended during Gaiseric's time (presumably the fifth here was Void), and it's that way as well with Griffith, where his ascension led to the creation of Fantasia (the merging of spiritual and physical world) and Falconia (the legendary kingdom he now rules). But the fundamental change seems to also apply to the God Hands where they seem to then be unschackled from their previous role, free to pursue their own desires for once, instead of simply being an enabler of the primal desires of others. Free to do what they want, they probably choose to "disappear" or do their "own thing" effectively no longer making them God Hands. Which then necessitate the creation of a new pantheon of God hands and the cycle repeats.

I got 2 theories for the plot of the godhand. What if you can only harm a member of the godhand if you have no hate towards them? Like how Rickert could slap Griffith, maybe Skull Knight could kill all the members of the godhand except void because void took away his lover and his kingdom. This would mean for Guts to beat them he must move forward from his past. The idea that Skull Knight can’t kill void makes sense as all that is keeping him alive as a wraith is his hatred. Another idea is that the godhand representing the 4 horse riders of the apocalypse, with Griffith being the rider of the white horse and representing conquest, as well as the antichrist as in the Bible it says he will be mistaken as the second coming of Christ. This makes a bit of sense as 1. Griffith represents conquest, the anti-christ, who people believe and worship as Christ (white falcon/black falcon) 2. Void represents death as he chose to be in the form that he was when he was about to die and became a member of the godhand 3. Slan may represent war as she enjoys pain (bit of a stretch) 4. Conrad who represents pestilence 5. Ubik maybe represents famine as famine and pestilence are described as very similar or even the same person (slight stretch) I feel it kind of doesn’t work as what about the old godhand, however it could be history repeating itself. However, the old godhand does work better for all characters except the antichrist, with the rocky dude being war, the starving dude being famine, the woman probably being pestilence. although the screaming guy doesn’t look important enough to be death or the antichrist so it doesn’t quite add up. One thing I know for certain though is that Griffith is an extremely close representation of the antichrist, with both descriptions lining up perfectly. The antichrist is described as being consumed by conquest, and despite being in a good position, threw it all away for the goal of absolute power, and was jealous of their counter part. Then in armageddon, during a time of trouble, he appeared like a holy white figure on a white horse, with a prophecy of there being 2 christs(falcons) with one leading to doom(black falcon) that will be mistaken as the good one(white falcon). Now the opposition of Griffith could go either way at this point in the story, as either Guts or the moonlight child, with on one side, Guts being described as the black falcon which works with everyone perceiving the 2 the opposite to the truth, and the other in that Griffith has white hair and is the black falcon, and the moonlight child having black hair and being the white falcon.

Miura deleted the Idea of Evil chapter. Everyone reads it and assumes it's canonical, but we don't know if Miura thought it was true, but gave away too much, or he scrapped the idea altogether.

This is conjecture but I think it was more an artistic choice than a spoilerish storytelling one. Miura (RIP) wants to leave a little mystery to the Godhand, and if you just blurt out what they are, why they exist, and what their motives are, that's eroded. It's a bit like if Lovecraft wrote an extra paragraph in Mountains of Madness clarifying that the being encountered was a 10,000 year old alien from the Andromeda Galaxy who is trying to contact its race but that SOS signal is turning people crazy (while all the lore about the Necronomicon and so forth is the same). It demystifies the work. I wouldn't be surprised if we never see the Idea of Evil, or the information from that chapter, again.

Don’t get Christianity mixed with Catholicism. The cross is a symbol but not one of worship, but one of sacrifice, for your sins. If a Christian wears a cross it’s to honor sacrifice. Catholics worship it for it is the holy trinity. Dude religion is not a wierd fake thing. It’s twenty times older than you and its knowledge is greater than you. It’s not fake or a play. It’s your entire reason for being. Without it we as humans would be gone. There is a huge difference between Christian’s and Catholics . That difference is important.

Catholics don't worship the cross, LOL. They even actually depict Jesus _on_ the cross. Catholics use religious symbols the same way any other Christian group does, as a focus for remembering things, a reminder. Also, what is worship but the religious, ritualized form of honoring?
