thanks for sharing. What precedures are you doing to post process the resin?
@MrBeardedJewelerАй бұрын
I clean them quickly with isopropyl alcohol using a small paint brush and then cure them under ultraviolet light submerged in vegetable glycerin. I have since switched to an ultrasonic cleaner.

Great success! I am close to buy the same machine on Amazon would you recommend it? stay inspired great work!

I tell everyone that's interested in that machine, that there aren't any companies that stand by it. So if anything goes wrong you have to fix it. I don't know how long the melting furnace will last. It's held up so far for me but it's a gamble. It's still half the price of a kaya cast and you get a furnace. So if the furnace does go you can buy a good one for around 700 or so and have a good furnace and a vacuum casting machine for the price of a kaya cast. That's what I'll probably do when the furnace goes. You can always buy all new electronics for the furnace and rebuild it for a few hundred if you ever want to take that route if it fails. I hope it lasts you a long time and you get a lot of joy out of it! I absolutely love using mine!

Yes, that’s true. No one will care about the machine after a machine failure. I think I'll try the machine out. The price isn't that high and the risk is low. If the melting furnace breaks, you're right, you can buy a cheap replacement. Unfortunately, I haven't found a cheap burnout furnace in my country yet, so I'd have to order from the USA or UK. I have no idea how high the customs duties are. We'll see, but I'm looking forward to the first attempts. I'm excited to see how your journey continues. Good luck.

Hello, 😮 I use mono x, is the setting value similar?

Hello, I'm not sure. There are Facebook groups that can answer your questions better than I can.

What formula do you use to measure how much molten metal you need?
@MrBeardedJeweler3 ай бұрын
I use a sprue calculator instead of doing the math for it. I use the one from united precious metal refining then add 10% for the button. If you are using larger tasks then you should add more. I'm using a 3 inch by 4 inch flask.

@@MrBeardedJeweler Hello bro, what vacuum pump do you use? I have a 3 cfm one and it doesn't work for me.

What’s your burn out process?
@MrBeardedJeweler4 ай бұрын
Right now I use 30 min ramp to 300, hold for 60, 30 min ramp to 700, hold for 60, 60 min ramp to 1250, hold for 120, 30 min decrease to 1000, hold for 30. Then cast. This is what I have tested with so far and will be changing max ramp to 1350 for next test. This is for my 3 inch by 4 inch flask. You have to adjust the burnout depending on what wax or resin your using as well as your type of investment. The size of the flask makes a big difference as well. Larger flask needs longer and smaller may need less time. Good luck!
