It seems to me that Bordeaux has changed the last twenty years. Not just climate change but also improvements in the way the vineyards are handled and in the winery. It was as if Bordeaux was the old champion and woke up one day to realize the new kids were working very hard and successfully challenging their dominance. In the old days, I read descriptions of the five First Growths and had it in mind that Latour would be my favorite. When I tasted the wines, I found that Chateau Margaux was my favorite. Must have been that "Margaux perfume". I also found that I would move Mouton to Second Growth status. Oh well. I have not tasted a First Growth the last twenty years so I would like to thank you for doing that.

Latour is so epic. It was the first 1st growth purchase. There is something mysterious about Latour, they don’t use social media and the website doesn’t have much. I have yet to taste it yet but I will one day! Great video

we had traveled to paris this summer and felt Le Cinq = dinner pricing was out of touch high compared with other michelin star restaurants around the world that we had been to, so we went to Four seasons courtyard lunch, had an incredible Burgundy for lunch. Spectacular hotel.

Cool! Latour is such an interesting and significant wine and cool to see you opening it! I have only had one experience of the Latour so far, I enjoyed together a bottle of the 1992 vintage, which was a rainy and poor vintage. Despite this the wine was just so lively and stunning! Cheers!

A tasting of the "super second" Bordeauxs (Pichon, Leoville, Cos etc, you know what I'm talking about) would be really interesting to see how they compare against the Firsts! You guys should try the upcommig release of Les Carmes Haut-Brion, 2022 (one of the best Bordeaux vintages in history). Les Carmes Haut-Brion that year is better than Haut-Brion itself, according to parker, Suckling, and other critics. It's poised to become a 100-pointer upon release.
