A lot of folks are excited about these new Bauer organizers and I was able to get the very first one that my local store sold (maybe the very first one EVER sold). Seeing it and using it in person I can say it is a very solid box and should provide some competition to the other systems out there. Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching.

I bought the Bauer system, it’s so cheap and works great. I’m gonna replace the wheels but other than that it’s just as efficient as anything out there. I love it.

Did u notice the bottom roller says 60 lbs maximum capacity? It's printed on the thing, it's posted on their website..... That is super weak. The one at Sam's Club says 270 total system weight.

Craftsman ones are $20 and of decent build quality. Ver similar design and IP65 rated. This will not end well unless they reduce the price significantly. I would buy the Ridgid at same price before these even.

It is identical to the Ridgid system. Which I'm a fan of, only because I have about 10 of those milk crate style baskets. I find them the most useful for shop organization and taking only what I need to a job site. I would not be surprised if these are also made by the same Israeli company for HF.

I will have to grab a Ridgid box and take a look. I know @TheDenofTools had mentioned this Bauer system was made by Keter (the Israeli company you mention) but it isn't specifically listed. Thought it was interesting, Wal-Mart's (TTI's) Hart system even calls out Keter right on the label.

@@80garage7 The latching mechanism is obviously better on the Ridgid boxes. They are flip up metal loops, which can also be used as handles. Won't collect crud or dirt like a sliding lock can.

I am looking to get a rolling cart for my Serger (as for SOME reason, it is impossible to find a decent serger case for my machine) For all the of the craft organization stuff out there.. for some reason, it falls short to what we have available AND the quality isn't there. I would want to maybe paint it a lighter color though. But that is just irrelevant (just wondering what kind of paint would work). What I LIKE about this, is that I can add on. I am ALWAYS looking for MORE storage for my craft supplies.. and more portability... We women have our own equipment and things so I wish they would quit letting us down in terms of design and practicality. Mens storage is always more practical in many ways and better built.

The tabs on the back of the bins are so you can hang the bins on a couple screws. Same as the Milwaukee version.

Looks like the Keter designing like the Rigid system. I wonder if that’s who’s making them. I also wonder if the inserts will fit in the slim Rigid boxes.
@80garage7

I think it is Keter making this for them. I seem to remember Den of Tools mentioning that.

Are the side mount latches similar to the dewalt and craftman? Would this stack on to any other system?
@80garage7
@80garage7 2 жыл бұрын
I cannot answer that for sure. I think the DeWalt latches flip up and latch on the side? If so, this will not fit that. The, packout has the slide in feet. The Ridgid might be the most similar but it's a slightly different size. If you were willing to fab or 3D print some kind of adapter...it MIGHT be possible. Thanks for watching!

They need to have a Drawer set and it would be perfect. My only issue with other systems is the wheels on the roller box are cheap and break. That goes for the Milwaukee system also.
@80garage7
@80garage7 2 жыл бұрын
I 10000% agree with that. If they come out with a drawer set in the Bauer line, at a reasonable price, it will probably outsell anything else in the lineup.

I third that motion. I love HF stuff. For my purposes, the things that draw me to packout are the drawer setups, the 4 caster bottom attachment (I don't need the handle I need to move it around. ) and the packout wood work top. If Bauer had those, or maybe could be made at home? I'd go bauer all the way

I really want one of these systems for an in-house toolbox. But I have to agree with others it’s a bit pricey for what it is. I was wanting the husky version and I think that is 75 or $85 with I think three bins. But it just came out so maybe they’ll drop the price as the year goes on

I am thinking we will see a fair amount of the regular and stacked inside track deals on these. They already had a coupon that brought this down a little. If they put this at $25 price point (on sale) and sold spare bins and a wall rack for those spare bins and maybe some drawers?...I think it could set itself apart. Time will tell. Thanks for watching and for your comment!

If you have a Menards in your area they have the exact same system just green instead of red in their Master Force line. Can be cheaper at times depending on if you can catch a sale.

Price seems high. Dewalt small parts organizer is $20 at HD, and was on Christmas sale even less. Do you think the Bauer is that much better?
@80garage7
@80garage7 2 жыл бұрын
I don't really know which is better. I am consistently surprised at what HF will start to go after. This is very clearly gunning for the MW Packout based on the "compare to" on the website. My opinion is that the first brand that starts to make inserts that are more than just bins will be the winner. Basically a way to accessorize the boxes like you can accessorize a tool chest, universal socket rails, universal screwdriver holders, wrench trays, blade storage, etc. MW and others do it for a few of their own sets but if they were to make them universal and have dozens of options I believe folks would buy. My $0.02

Good question. If you have one, the PP marking is inside the case located on the right hand middle bin location. I was a tad surprised it didn't have a GF# next to it as it does look like it is glass fiber reinforced. Hope that helped.

You know...I was looking at that MW and it looked strange...you are absolutely right, that is NOT a packout. Great catch! The Bauer does seem to be water resistant, although I did not see an IP rating on it. Edit: I just looked at the booklet again it is indeed IP65 rated! My bad.

I would be inclined to agree with you if unless Bauer decides to offer something the Ridgid doesn't. The future 20% off sales would put the Ridgid and the Bauer about equal in price but right now I am not certain it warrants the premium. I will need to see if the Bauer bins fit the Packout cases.

I assume there are legal reasons why they can't make it compatible with Milwaukee (for interlocking). Too bad. When picking components consider how you'll use the set. To access a top-lid component there needs to be nothing on top of it (duh) so if you hope to use it as a rolling tool chest, you'll want drawers, otherwise, you're forced to pull the set apart every time you use it.
