My first birch box was abused by someone who should be on a restraining order to stay away from audio equipment and he stripped out my perfect holes and ripped the face apart separating the sub I had stupidly gasket maker’d in Place with enough permatex optimum max flex to re-gasket a shipping tanker engine. Anywho after crying about my favorite subwoofer to date (eclipse titanium 700) being destroyed by the same think-puddin-less individual that disrespected my box. I glued the new face on with titebond 3 and predrilled teeny-weeny holes for my 2” drywall screws and sealed her up tighter than a 57 y/o mil-f ….. after letting it dry overnight I marked the area where the sub will sit avoiding screws and trying to be centered. I then used my perfectly flat work station made of 1/2” steel bolted to the floor (electric recliner) that my mother insisted we rescue to carefully use my jig saw to evict the centerpiece……..
