It's good to see someone in New England is on ice. It's too bad it didn't work out but it's still encouraging to see as that wait between the peak of laker fishing from shore and first ice is the most excruciating stretch of the year for me.

Stinks you got the skunk but way to get after it. Looks like we’re already in a much better spot ice making wise than last year. I always say I want to try fishing through the ice there but this video and last years just discourage me big time 😂. Won’t be long for those other northern lakes and ponds

Welcome to first ice... be careful out there buddy... My neck of the woods we have 7 inches of ice.... went to mountain lake on sunday and the fish gods really gave us a day of fishing... my son and i landed 50-60 rainbows and brookies... a few really nice ones... From my starting to melt, lob-sided, overtaxed igloo on the mountain in alberta rockies Canada 🇨🇦 D. P.s.... try 8th ounce plain silver horizontal jig with a chunk of shrimp from a cheap cooked shrimp ring .... this has been killing them up here .... rainbows and brookies.

Well this is a good spot in the summer, just not during the ice. The main reason I don't disclose location is because of safety of others. There's no good reason to have a bunch of people show up the next day on crappy ice.
