Shloime, I have been watching your videos with Peter for a while now. Nice to see that you have visited Afghanistan without any incidents. I welcome you to come visit Pakistan, we are the pushtune tribe from the Northwest and it is said that we are the 8th descendants of the Jewish people, in other words, we are brothers and you will notice a lot of similarities. Thank you for having an open mind and heart to even step foot in a Muslim country. Would love to meet you one day!

the etymological root for afghan comes from Sanskrit language that could be interpreted as "Holly script" because [san] is a prefix that very often precedes a subject to annunciate holiness, and from this holly language comes the word aśva or aspa; afghan for horse or horseman = to cavalry = fighters = soldiers = infantry, it is like we could literally say to allude this country: Aspantrytan, also in Mexico there is a region called similarly: Apatzingan name that very lightly exposes the same idea, because Apatzingan is the place where de fighters for Freedom redacted the first constitution of Latin America.
@mukhtardost87232 жыл бұрын
That's interesting considering that there increasing evidence that Hui Shan and a Party of Buddhist Monks from Afghanistan Discovered America in the Fifth Century way before Christopher Columbus... and Ive always found uncanny similarities between Mexican and Afghan peoples... who knows... 🇦🇫 ❤ to 🇲🇽 & all of latin America.

It breaks my heart to see the situation now. People associate Afganistan with misery and primitive conditions. Back in the 70's, women could walk on the streets without being harassed, wearing modern clothing of that day (maybe not modest by some standards, but they had the freedom to choose for themselves).. they could study, work, participate in the society. Now, it's like another century. May God soon restore the country and bring hope that only He can bring.

Hi Elisa! Thanks for your comment. I appreciate you reaching out. First of all, this video was filmed over 2 years ago, before I, or anyone else knew that he was a get refuser. While it's definitely very interesting to see this video, you're completely insane for having traveled there, both considering that you're a Jew and an American. I think it might even go against halacha for you to have gone there, since you're putting yourself in a situation of pikuach nefesh for nothing more than entertainment and exploration purposes.

Hi! Thanks for your thoughtful feedback. I went there on an assignment for Ami Magazine and I consulted with numerous Rabbis before doing so, as I always do. I was told to go. Best regards, Shloime

I think it goes way beyond entertainment and exploration. I think it's important that people learn to see each other as human instead of feeding into the stereotypes and fears we are so often fed. Shloime is showing people that no matter who you are or where you go, you will find human kindness where people least expect you to. I think many people who watch these videos will be very surprised and delighted by that innate kindness that exists. Thank you Shloime, may G-d bless you wherever your adventures take you. 💜
@danavipuzzles73083 жыл бұрын
@@happydillpickle This isn't about stereotypes, this is about pure common sense. Countries like Afghanistan have always been known to be dangerous for both Americans and Jews, and all the more so for American Jews, and all the more so for visibly identifiable American Jews. He could have easily gotten killed, and in my opinion, his Rabbis were foolish and wrong for having allowed him to go there. It is reckless and foolish to go out trying to find fragments of beauty and kindness in a volatile warzone. Use some common sense. Just seeing what happened in Afghanistan a few months ago proves my case. This could have very well happened when Shloime was there and that could have been the last we'd have heard of him.
