Shloime, your remark that you wanted to show the human side and the people affected, rather than delve into the politics, is so indicative of your compassionate neshama and speaks volumes - I feel nothing but love; thank you!

I was very moved watching this. Thank you Shloime. Jewish people in Iassi Romania helping Jewish people from Ukraine. One pair of my grandparents were from the Moldavia province where Iassi is and the other pair from Kiev. They all emigrated to the US in early 20th century. It is so beautiful to know these Jewish communities still exist and that there is a network of caring people who are helping these vulnerable refugees. Thank you for your efforts. Yasher Koach! Slava Ukraine! 🇺🇦

Shalom, Shloime! I just re-watched this video and want to let you know I really appreciate you going to Romania. It’s especially a blessing for those of us who cannot travel, to see all the interesting places you go. You always highlight places and people we would never see on the news. I would love to know more about your interactions with Ukrainians in the future. I’m thankful the US is willing to take in some refugees, as most of us who live here are families who came here from somewhere else. I’m studying the Ukrainian language on Duolingo for free, and I hope to be able to put it to good use in the future. Thank you for making these people’s day a little better, and giving some of them the opportunity to share about their suffering. I hope to see more regarding Ukraine on your channel in the future. 💙🙏🏽☮️🇺🇦🌻

In war, there is no victory, only widows. I hope for Russia, Ukraine and the world sake that the war ends. I hope the President of Ukraine will not join any military alliance, neither Russia nor America. I hope Ukraine will be a peaceful country like Switzerland. Ukraine participated in the invasion of Iraq along side with US allied . I hope that it will not participate in any shameful act against any country in the world. I sympathize with the poor people, and I wish if I were in Poland or any neighboring country, I would do my best for the Ukrainian people. LIKE what ShLomie did .

Thank you again .

I have been enjoying your videos today all day , this one seems to be the most thought provoking of them Ive seen so far. Your introduction is ok , but we must not forget that PEOPLE are victims, they are victimizers , they are holding guns they are fleeing they are the cause and they are the answer. People is everything and everywhere, I wish that those who have been working in the Bio Labs that have been funded by the USA and people who have been working in the financial establishments that have been laundering money, and people who have been involved in human trafficking in Ukraine will come forward and expose the cause for this tragedy that seems to be pushed aside. If we do not learn from our past we will repeat it.

I don't get the idea around not being political. This was actually extremely political as Russia is in complete denial about what you highlighted. Politics is connected to everything. Even being free to be able to speak on an issue or do certain things (what might seem like the lack of political involvement is political in itself). You could be jailed for making such a video as a Russian (once you got back). This situation makes me even more appreciative of the relative freedom and safety many of us have. Other situations have also put things in perspective for me. The org you highlighted is doing great work and good on you to highlight them. Their level of organization/collaboration is impressive. The interviews you did were good. I do have some questions around some concepts that I've heard from Jews (and practitioners of other religions). The idea that God decides when people die (and many other aspects of life), yet taking actions to save lives of others. Also, if God decides, then did God decide when people died in the Holocaust. I know this might come across a certain way via text, but I'm actually curious and I've had such conversations in person with people who practice various religions. I haven't gotten clear answers to this and many other questions. I grew up without much religion so I've tried to learn about different beliefs and practices. For instance, if eating Kosher, or Halal, or a number of other ways is what God wants, wouldn't that mean that most people are not in compliance and going against what God wants, but at the same time God isn't using his/their power to let the world know in a clear way though he apparently has that power based on people getting such messages in the past and following them now. I'm genuinely curious.
