01:08 this guy was the most honest one you met in your whole trip, and yet you accused him of trying to trap you. He was actually feeling guilty that it's not fresh, it was made the day before, so he asked you first to try it, if you don't like it you don't have to pay. If you want it then go inside and pay the boss.

True 👍 I noticed westerns way of expressing body language is different than Middle Easterns. The way he acted with his body would be considered as sneaky to most Westerns. There's a lot of cultural differences that makes people assume things based on their own cultural point of view. I'm Arab myself but have lived in Europe and traveled have many friends from different cultures. It made me realise cultural differences will always be a problem due to being lost in translation. It's hard to understand when one isn't part of the culture for quite some time. I even noticed for intense in Europe ppl see Arabs/Africans/Turks/Iranese/Spanish/Italian ppl as agressive when actually they are simply passionate and express more with their body + speak loudly. And so on and so on.

i would love to visit Jounieh, I'm Kurdish and its always fascinated me such a small country both in size and population, can be so culturally relevant and influential, especially in the middle east. Their influence is everywhere, from Fairuz being listened to over breakfast in Erbil to their Tabolueh being enjoyed in Cairo... I hope to go one day.
