I have been to Koh Chang for 8 straight years!! My favorite places to Eat is "I do i do" For breakfast, a private little place with a nice beach, and i usually end up on "Magic Garden" In lonely beach for dinner, Their food for me is top tier, and such a cozy place! Going down 1th November for 3 weeks

Ko Mak and Ko Kood are both nice as well. And there's the other Ko Chang over on the other side of Thailand that I've wanted to visit. No roads so you have to walk everywhere on the island. Thailand is definitely looking tempting now that things are getting more relaxed around the world.

The bridge is built on two purposes, 1st = to show the name of the village and welcome banner. 2nd = like crossing street skywalk in Bangkok, but this one is crossing river skywalk. So, it is strong enough to walk across, even its handheld is shaken. But the local villagers are get used to and no need even to hold their hands on it while crossing anyway. Smooth editing and presentation as always. Love your videos. 💚👍👍

Our favourite vacation island so far, hope you try koh Kut, Kai Bai beach side is the sandy side while to the east is more pebbles yet much nicer and cheaper accommodation. Just north of you is the is the Klong Phlu waterfall it is the nicest and has a few levels if the guard does not stop you climbing up. And this time of year it will be switched “on” while others may be dry, but honestly you have seen much better. following the river down there are some beautiful resorts on the beach and lagoon, following the road to Kai Bai a bicycle and book hire store on the left, now if you look right a board walk takes you thru palm trees over the small river as it goes to the sea, the beach to the left there is pristine and remote, watch out for sand flies on remote beaches tho I believe most beaches are remote just now. If you follow the horse shoe shape coast road south into the hills the Rasta bar is a nice break and view, always see the black and white sea eagles fishing in the bay and around the piers there. Also some nice resorts. Continue a little farther the road narrows and you come to the Grand Lagoon once a vacation and social gathering spot for Taxin Sinawatra, you know that Thai Guy who owned Liverpool F.C. He trenched out the beach there and sailed his cruise ship aground “a casino” with nearby helipad ,tho hasn’t been back for years. There are a lot of house boats for rent and you pay 40 baht entrance and can use the swimming pool on one of the boats. BUT THE BEACH IS TO DIE FOR never seen more than 6 people on it , a waterfall tips into the lagoon and pools of water lilies just minutes from the sea, and possibly the biggest elephants you will see. Its a great run for dreamy, on the other end of the loop East is the mangrove swamp with concrete boardwalk, already mentioned in the comments the wat Salak Petch that is there is a new build stunning at a cost of £20,000.Take a few days to explore again resorts down by the bays edge on this east side are very nice most are on the water. White Sands (west and close to the ferry) is usually busy-pre-covid and has more to offer for night life if you are on foot. Enjoy I will be there for xmas.

Koh Chang: My favorite place on the planet! You should visit Lonely Beach for the nightlife. But don’t stay overnight too close, cos it gets VERY loud at night. Then you should visit the Pier closeby. Also Long Beach on the other side of the island is also a very peaceful place to visit for a day. Also try and squeeze in the waterfall (there are a few), but the one you pay to visit (nature reserve) is well worth it, if only for the pretty views and wonderful swim. This takes me back and is such a beautiful reminder. Thanks Paddy!!cant wait to go back. It’s been waaayyy too long. Keep up the great work. I love you videos!!!

Koh Mak and Koh Kham are beautiful! Not forgetting Koh Chang itself, we’ve been going there for years, it’s a beautiful island. If you need any recommendations give me a shout! Of all of them though, Koh Kut has to be the probably the best Thai island, if you haven’t been you ‘must’ go. Koh Chang. Lonely Beach. Maybe have lunch at Little Eden and stay in a jungle bungalow up the hill from the Beach. If you do, please say hi to the guitar playing part owner, a Brit, named David Newman. He's in Trat until Monday. However, his friends might be around to take you on a hike up the mountainside through the jungle to some very nice spots. It's a very "cool" spot to kick back, chat and get to know the area a little more. I've "sat-in" with the local musicians around Lonely Beach. Great fun. dcb

I went to Koh Chang in August of 2020 and stayed a few nights at Centara resort on the back side of the island at Lonely Beach. The island was dead and at least half of everything on the island was closed or shut down. We still had a wonderful time as there were only a few tourists. Also stayed at Paddy's 15 Palms next to 7-11 where White Sand Beach begins. Head over to Paddy's for a spot of lunch and you may run into that lot of Irish expats. Plod bpai, krap!

If you need some conditioned expats, kayak up the first Klong on Klong prao and there is Moley who runs ‘Moleys’ on the riverbank (left side) then opposite Ian aka @iamkohchang. His place is Baan Rim Nam’. Very informative and runs a very reputable mini bus service to and from the islands to Bangkok……Also check out the Cambodian school set up by a Dutch couple…. You will however encounter more elephant issues on the island as you approach Kai Bae 😔

Koh Chang is my families go-to island as we can drive to it from BKK and a few resorts accept dogs so ours can enjoy the beach and swimming. The hotel AWA resort, I'm sure is very nice but it's not my type of place, particularly as they don't have a real beach. The island is so big, not having a beach is unacceptable. If you keep on going down you will drive through Lonely Beach which is the backpacking area and then the fishing village which has some great seafood restaurant.
