If you come in from Singapore's north and south neighbors' gateway, immediately you would feel the differences between them once you cleared the custom checkpoint. The landscape like street, building, plants, surrounding ecological existence instantaneously make you realized it is a modern, orderly and advanced city state.

I know how sad you are to leave Thailand but you'll be back before you know it!. I enjoyed seeing Singapore with it's big metropolis. Again, the aerial shots were great - another perspective. Everywhere you go there will be things that standout for the culture/place you're in at the time but Thailand will remain very special to you. the Elephant Queen and Milo Team will be remembered and talked about until you return. Josie my dear. Make sure you check out the Botanic Gardens!!! Get yourself to the Botanic Gardens MRT station and the walk down the hill to Tanglin Gate. From here there are buses every where you want to go. Also, get out to Joo Chiat. A really fun neighborhood with some of the most instagramable street scapes you can find. More fun than Duxton Hill. Oh and yes, the hotel rooms can be tiny. Singapore accommodation is not cheap, but then again it is one of the most vibrant global cities to be found. Further, the 'seeds' are peanuts.

Would love to vacate to Singapore. I'm not much of a suck-up, but if I do plan on going, I have to thank just about everybody, from workers to servicemen to students, as they have to be some of the hardest working and success-driven people in the world. They make the experience worthwhile for foreigners because they made city and the service stay slick. Meanwhile, I'd serve no purpose; would just be a bum in the sun, drinking in Marina Bay. Cheers from America 🇺🇸

@Richard Kahn I think it is good to have an umbrella with u. We are experiencing some heavy rain recently. Might come in handy. But alot of places in Singapore has got shades and covered walkway. So in a way, u do not need to open your umbrella to shieldu from the sun. But more importantly, try to wear something that is cooling. T-shirts with quick-dry materials are my favorites. If u intend to go outdoors in the mid day, I suggest sunblock cos that's when the UV rays are the highest. Other than that, just have fun and stay hydrated. Hope this helps

There isn't a standard way of making milo in Singapore, so we hardly bother with such comparisons within Southeast Asia. In fact, it is more common to hear Singaporeans raving about the "Australian-style milo" (which is indeed different...after all it is an Aussie drink and is milkier in its original version), while I have never heard of anyone talking about Thai milo.
