There are lots of extensive underground walkways in Singapore. From your video, we see you taken a super long route above ground, There is a much shorter and direct route from Tang's to Shake Shack at Liat towers. The "crossbox" is underground so as not to impede vehicle traffic flow. Pedestrian flow are smooth and efficient in Singapore and with aircon,

Drink plenty of water while here in Singapore. When in Orchard Road, use the underground walkways. Ask the locals for help or directions. We locals don't talk much or are relatively shy, but we are friendly and helpful. Enjoy your stay here.

To cross roads at the Ion/Wheelock/Tangs/Isetan intersection which was where Shake Shack was, taking the underground footpaths would have been only 5 mins long. It's also air-conditioned and protects you from the sun rays :)

Welcome to Singapore :D usually the more popular areas like Newton Food Centre or Lau Pa Sat are more expensive. The local neighbourhood hawker centres are where you'll find food for under 5SGD (usually the basic ones like mixed veg rice, noodle soup or chicken rice. Japanese/Korean/Western cuisine stalls usually sell from 6-10+ and premium meals like whole lobster, crab, hotpot will always be past 10SGD)

Welcome to Singapore! We are a small country, that’s why all our power cables, pipes etc are all underground and that’s the reason why u can’t see “nest of wires” above u.. 😂 Do venture into our heartlands to experience our lifestyle. Food is cheaper than tourist spot like newton. Also If u notice, there’s usually a shopping mall above every MRT station, so it’s really convenient!

Hi Janessa 👋 Thanks for leaving such an amazing comment, we really appreciate it 😀 Singapore was just so pristine and impressive, we really enjoyed it. And so many generous comments have recommended venturing into the heartlands that I know we have to come back to experience that side of Singapore too. And, yes, we did notice the shopping malls above the MRT and it was convenient...maybe too convenient because I feel like we always bought something before we went home for the day 😀

Lol...Newton Food centre? That's a tourist trap that locals know not to go when you want to get good and inexpensive food. Most of the neighborhood food centres in the "suburbs" are accessible by MRT. For sure, you won't get anything under $5 in this hawker centre.

Can ask, when you pay with your credit card (say on the MRT) do you not incur a credit card fee? How about carrying cash, or withdrawing - how does that work, meaning can you go to a bank and use their ATM to withdraw cash, but then what would the fee be like? I'd like to hear about your experience with that please.

Americans may think calling a city "like NYC" is a compliment, but its actually an insult. We don't want your homelessness, your violent crime rate, your rat infested graffiti covered subways, your police brutality, etc

Hong Kong is more of the NYC of Asia in terms of density, diversity, buzz, grit etc. Even though Tokyo is the largest city on earth and you can fit 30 Manhattans in Tokyo, it doesn't have the diversity and grit of Hong Kong, that is more similar to NYC. Singapore is too tiny to be the NYC.

Amazing information, thanks for sharing 🙌 We are truly excited to visit both cities when we can. In fact, we have been looking at the news daily to see when Japan is opening. We are thinking early 2023 if all goes according to plan. And I had no idea you could fit 30 Manhattans in Tokyo. That is a pretty incredible stat 😀

Honestly, I did not enjoy Singapore as much I envisioned when I visited there. The city is just too sanitized, almost boring even.

We appreciate the honesty Victor. The great thing is there are so many amazing countries out there that if you don't enjoy one, there is another one waiting to be explored. Thanks for leaving us a comment and Happy Travels 🧳✈️💛

Maybe not all the time, but we did get caught without an umbrella on more than one occasion 😂 But in the end, it was just a great excuse to play in the rain 🌧😀 Thanks for watching and leaving such a fun comment 🙌

Stop migrating to singapore! Our country is too crowded and jobs are not enough for locals. Please kindly go to other countries.

Singapore is a boring country long term and definitely not sustainable but yes, green, with trees.
