I have low porosity hair too, but it's more medium to coarse, and high density. Due to this, I don't saturate my hair, I style it when it is damp or slightly damp, and that helps with my frizz.

I purchased this line, but bought the twisting soufflé instead of the smoothie because I don’t use silicones and the smoothie has dimethicone in it. I do the LCO method and I got no frizz or flakes using the leave in, twisting soufflé, and custard and I was not light with the custard at all. I’ve also had my hands in my hair after it dried and still didn’t get any flakes after messing in it and breaking the cast. I think it’s the smoothie that’s giving everyone flakes or it may just be because I used an oil on my hair before applying the custard.

Out of all of your wash n goes, I think your hair looked the most defined and shiny in this one. I love the custard! The smoothie has protein so I could only use the leave-in and the custard. But this is by far the best definition I have seen on you IMO. Beautiful results and hair! New subbie!

When I used the gel with the hair milk I got flakes.... but that may because I refreshed a few times.... I decided to try just the custard with and oil after deep conditioning to see what kind of results I get this time 😬. Anyway ur hair looked great 👍🏽 so much body bounce.

In order to tame frizz with these products and most product lines, you have to coat your hair with oil ans or shea butter first. Then apply products. Also when the hair is saturated with water the products react better.

I'm so late but that depends on the hair putting oil first on my hair prevents the products from getting into my hair shaft and my curls dont curl at all so I always use oil last

Your wash&go results are beautiful! I think the souffle would defrizz your hair type better, thus using less product. I think the olive oil mixed with the custard gel may have caused the flaking. I use coconut oil, but i cant use it with certain leave-ins, and I cant use it with ANY gel-type products, or else I get those tiny white beady-beads!

Are you supposed to use the smoothie with the custard? Maybe you were just supposed to use the leave-in only with the custard. Using all three products together could be the reason use you experienced flakes.

Godsgraceish neither of the products directions say that they’re to be used in conjunction so I’m thinking maybe the custard is supposed be used alone but I need more moisture than just the custard lol the leave in only & the custard may just work because of the texture of the leave in so I’ll have to try that. Your hair looks amazing! Quick question. I live in Florida so I have to stay clear of humectants during the summer because of the high humidity. My hair will be a cotton ball lol lol. You said that the custard had 2 humectants, glycerin and what was the other humectant? I couldn't understand what you said the other humectant was.

I did a wash and go with the leave in and the custard and my hair flaked BAD. I tested the products on my hand and only the curl smoothie is compatible with the custard.

I personally believe that my hair thrives because I don't manipulate it too much. I normally only style it once a week (on wash day) and wear that style for the entire week, meaning I don't restyle it, detangle it again, or re-moisturize it until the next wash day (which is why I'm pretty heavy handed with product application lol) also, I am an avid advocate for deep conditioning so I do recommend weekly deep conditioning (if you aren't already doing so). It may take time, but you have to learn what your individual hair likes & needs and continue to provide it that. Hope this helps, hun

Totally agree with the movement! I love it! I think I will probably use a smaller amount of leave in and more curling custard. I started seeing the white buildup during the leave in so I think thats what happened to me! I will use these products for my fluffy wash and gos lol

I used tons of the curling custard. I never experienced flakes. I applied it over oil and shea butter. I didn't use it with the other products in the product line. I think you got flakes because you used it with all of the other products. I never experienced that.
