I wish I could get my father in law to help me out like yours does! Next time you want to pull out a tree or stump, double wrap it with one end of the chain and hook it back to itself so it can pull tight on whatever you want to move and hook the other end to the back of the tractor. Put the tractor in it's lowest gear and let it crawl the stump out of the hole. It works better on whole trees, but if you have to cut the top off, leave the stump about 3'-4' tall. My little 36hp ford can pull some surprisingly large stuff for its size.

I wonder if you ever considered purchasing a used portable grain bin/ hopper? They are on wheels and can be towed behind most SUV's or light pickups. They are small enough to store inside a barn or are usually weatherproof enough to haul out to your stock and its on hand where you need it. Would save many man hours of handling feed so often. Just a thought :)

Try using the hydraulics to lift the stump rather than pull it. You’ll probably need to attach the brush cutter and have someone stand on it for added weight in the back. Good luck.

Great call with the chain hoist! With enough chain and a big anchor point (big trees) that would also be the more powerful option for removing the stump. I've got a Kubota that's a bit bigger than yours. The loader/bucket is not so powerful - it would easily become a roll over hazard if it could lift more. The rear three point hitch actually has the most lifting power.

You need a Kubota tractor the same size and model as your neighbor's. I have that same tractor and I use it several times a week doing various jobs around my place. Look at what implements you think you need for various jobs around your farm. I have the tiller, bucket, level grader (not box grader), pallet forks, HD brush cutter, and a wagon to haul firewood and equipment. I hang cattle and hogs from the bucket when I'm butchering. You can't hang dairy steers from the bucket because they are too long. My only regret is not getting the backhoe attachment with it.
