Mike waited his whole life for this moment. Completely bodied that trail. Amazing what confidence does to your riding!

Rad! I am originally from NJ and rode the tourne a lot in the late 80’s early 90’s before moving west (Longmont,Co) My wife and I are visiting family in Northern NJ in a couple weeks and are going to be spending 4 days at mountain creek and planing on riding the Vernon Valley. Looks fun! Haven’t been there since maybe 1996. Ha

Jeff Lenosky thx, rad, decided to bring my Yeti SB130 and gonna ride Sunday/Monday this week. Should be good. I remember it being chunky and rocky but should be able tough it with the 130

Your videos are awesome, Jeff!! I’ve watched every one of them multiple times. I have a question on jumping. I know you pre-load with your legs when you approach a jump and stand up as you do the jump, but do you also pre-load and/or push into the jump with your arms at the same time you pre-load with your legs or do you pull back with your arms as you go up and off the jump?

Whats your favorite bike for mountain Creek for that kind of riding style? I am buying a new bike this summer for mountain Creek and thinking of getting the yeti sb150 but my friend is trying to convince me to get a more dh bike. Would love your input! Thanks!

I have a medium and a large Reeb Sqweeb that you can demo. It has 150mm rear travel and 160 front. I honestly think a long travel trail bike is the most fun and you can actually ride it outside the park as well.

@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss They look great. Thanks for the feedback. Do you have specific demo days for Reeb Sqweeb?

@JeffLenosky so the guy Mike that was asking for your help and has been practicing in his backyard how long has he been practicing, how long has he been riding? Been riding for a little over two years now just started to try to jump last year and having the hardest time no matter what videos I watch or technique I read I just can't seem to get it right. 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss4 жыл бұрын
Mike will probably read this... I think he's ridden road for a long time, mountain bikes a few years and jumping less than a year. He practices a LOT and asks a lot of questions which always speeds up the process!

Been a roadie from 2016-19. Then got into MTB in 2019 and had a bad crash in the fall so I started from scratch in late December and started small and worked up to bigger jumps each months. It’s about repetition. I’m still so far away from consistency but the crash factor is lower now. Lol

I have ridden green horn uncountable amount of times and still can't clear those freaken table tops.. I think i'm riding to darn slow and need to get out of my head. you need to take someone like me and do a vid teaching your technique..just saying
@scnomad36264 жыл бұрын
Jason, I have a couple doubles I had trouble clearing no matter how fast I went into them. I found that if I slowed down a little bit, maybe 10%, I could get more vertical pop and clear them every time. Rolling your wrists forward in the air also lifts the back end and helps the rear wheel clear the knuckle. Try it.
@topspot48344 жыл бұрын
Speed isn't the issue most likely. Try getting more rear compression before takeoff. I do that double all the time and I'm not a fast rider at all, but I get good compression.
@jasoncapecod4 жыл бұрын
@@topspot4834 Thanks definitely gonna give it a try next season
