I love watching a new generation discover Jimmy Page, The Master, the BEST guitarist, period! You MUST watch his amazing skill "1973 Stairway to Heaven Madison Square Gardens"...the double-neck guitar solo will blow your mind! Then there's Robert Plant's outstanding vocals...Welcome to Led Zeppelin, the Greatest Band of All. Their level of talent remains unmatched to this day!

The double-neck guitar has one neck with 6 strings and the other with 12 strings. Jimmy Page had this built for him so that when he played “Stairway to Heaven” in concert, he wouldn’t have to switch guitars. In the studio, he played the two guitars in separate tracks and overlaid them in production, but he worried that trying to switch guitars in concert would be fraught with trouble, so necessity being the mother of invention, Page found a solution. I do not know if this is the first double-necked guitar in history, I suspect not, but it’s the first one I ever saw! I’m 70 today and I remeber seeing Led Zeppelin at the Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles in August, 1971 and at the San Diego sports arena in May, 1975. Great memories! They are phenomenal!

Welcome to Led Zepplin rabbit hole. Each member of the band were considered a GOAT in each of their instruments making them one of the best bands ever. You will hear one banger after another as you explore their catalog. At 60, it's so fun watching you young-ins discover the music of my generation long before modern technology. Enjoy! I subscribed to watch your journey. Enjoy!

Can you believe they played this song on the radio? Now just then, but probably still today! What you should do is listen to the live version of Moby Dick. The drummer, John Bonham, was known for playing drum solos from half hour to hour long during concerts. And the people LOVED it. 45 minutes for a drum solo?? THAT'S how good he was.

Next up "Ramble On", or "What is and What Should Never Be", or "Ten Years Gone", or "Nobody's Fault But Mine", or "When the Levee Breaks", or "Gallows Pole", or "Hey, Hey, What can I do?" , or "Heartbreaker/Livin Loving Maid", played consecutively as one song as one leads into the other. and it goes on and on with this band. The GOATS.

This song was recorded and dropped in 1969, so not the 70s or 80s, although their time together as a band was from 1968 to 1980. They disbanded after the unexpected death of their drummer, John Bonham. Nice reaction, thanks. I hope you explore a lot more of their music. They were unparalleled.

Lets put it this way, bro. Most of the rappers out there have sampled Zeppelin songs. They were the pioneers in this genre. Unexpected you say? Thats because you are young, bro. They have set the stage for all music acts that followed in the 70s, 80s, 90s and now.But im glad you have listened to this and appreciate it. Good one, bro!

Led Zeppelin. The best then, now and probably ever. Frankly, I'm amazed anyone has never heard of them. If you like great guitarists have a look at Deep Purple, The Who, Black Sabbath, Queen, UFO, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Judas Priest etc. All of them had absolutely superb lead guitarists.

@@JusticeServ In fairness, Led Zeppelin broke up more than 40 years ago, and whilst their impact is indelibly printed in my mind and others of my generation, when I think about it there are plenty of reasons why younger generations may not have come across them. If you are interested, this live Deep Purple version of 'Child In Time' is a fair representation of the band's capabilities and also seems popular amongst people like yourself who review various songs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/haDVi5aFr7OWnacsi=N6LvNl4PlqPKRvVQ Also, Led Zeppelin did reform in 2007 for a one off performance in tribute to Ahmet Ertegun. The lead singer (Robert Plant), lead guitarist (Jimmy Page) and bassist/keyboardist (John Paul Jones) were the original band members. The drummer for the performance was Jason Bonham, son of the original drummer, John Bonham (RIP). I think they performed very well for the whole performance, but one song from that concert that is sometimes reviewed by people such as yourself is 'Kashmir' kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnWQfpefitJklbssi=0iHMnspA5pY-KmI8

This video is a mix of several concerts, but it’s all the same 4 GOATS, the greatest band to ever exist. They play a verity of genres Rock Blues Folk etc. every song is great, & every one of them shines in their songs. They are each the GOAT of their craft, & together they are the GODS of all music. We that have loved them for decades, love seeing new people find & love them too. The band was founded by guitarist Jimmy Page in (1968), after playing a few weeks they recorded produced mixed etc. in about 36 hours their first album. Jimmy Page has control & preforms the mixing etc. That album was released in January of (1969), their second was released in October of (1969). The band was together from mid to late (1969 to September of 1980) sadly when the greatest drummer passed away. You’ve gotten some song suggestions, but anything you pick is absolutely great, just hope you continue on this journey. Enjoy young man enjoy, & thank you. There’s usually great guitar solos in every song, often more then one.

I'll vote Kashmir, When the Levy Breaks and Stairway to Heaven. This last one being heralded by many as the best rock song ever written. Be prepared however. Stairway to Heaven has a very long period of buildup so get ready to groove with it for awhile like we did as kids. The end, however, the end to priceless. If you appreciate guitar solos, toward the end Jimmy Page produces one that knocks the ball out of the park.

Nice that you got into the experimental part of the song, a lot of new listeners don't, where the guitarist is using a violin bow across the strings and doing other things to create all kinds of cool "noise"! The double guitar is one 6 string, and one 12 string. The 12 string has 2 stings on the same note, so it creates a really cool full sound on ballads. You might want to check out other songs like "Dazed and confused", or the live version of "The immigrant song". You said you like guitar work, you might want to check out one of the best blues tracks I think I've ever heard, "Since I've been loving you" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/api3Z2aupNuojac, But really, they have so many great tunes, it's hard to go wrong with this band. Excellent reaction!

One thing I really like about the video being made up of clips from various performances is you get a few short but good looks of Jimmy Page's 'Dragon Telecaster.' When Fender released the Jimmy Page 'Dragon Telecaster' a limited number of them had part of the hand painted dragon painted by Jimmy Page himself. I wanted one so bad, but with such a limited run I missed out.
