Randy Travis has one of those voices that grabs your heart and manipulates it. What a wonderful vocalist he was. It's a shame that he started having health issues. A couple of my favorite Randy Travis songs are "I Told You So" and "Promises". "Look Heart, No Hands" from this same concert was pretty great too. Carrie Underwood did a good cover of "I Told You So". They also recorded it as a duet version around the same time, and also performed it on American Idol, though Randy didn't appear to be at his best in that performance.

It’s life, stuff happens, though the song makes it sound like he did the right thing. Don’t over analyze, lol… enjoy the music.. half the time my generation wouldn’t have been able to figure out what he did….we just enjoyed the music and the voice…great reaction Blessing, thanks for giving country another try!

If you like his voice, I'd also suggest checking out Keith Whitley "Don't Close Your Eyes" and Josh Turner "I Wouldn't Be a Man". Josh Turner and Randy Travis have performed live together, and that's pretty cool to listen to as well.

I like this song for the sound and it being enjoyable to sing along to, but yeah, breaking down the lyrics, I strongly dislike the cheating factor. All of us experience thoughts and temptations, but giving into them is where I draw the line. And I do believe in redemption, but only if the person is repentant. That's a reason why, unlike everyone else, I can't stand the song called "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss. Particularly the last half of the song.. Same with "Why Don't You Stay" by Sugarland.. Both very popular and beloved songs that I can't stand for similar reasons.

I don't see it as he's cheating on his wife. He met this other lady, looking into her eyes may have sparked something he may or may not have lost with his wife, he probably at some point, maybe when he was about to leave, hugged her, maybe he gave her a kiss, maybe she kissed him, but before it went any farther than that kiss, intentional or not, he walked away because of that ring that reminded him of his wife.
