Takes me back 36 years to a man I fell in love with! First date he played this cd in his lifted 4x4 Truck. We drove from Ventura, to Los Angeles. I listened to every word. We married about 2 years later. He raised my three kids as his own. Every so often I would go eat lunch in my car on my lunch break. He would stop by and put Randy Travis on. So as soon as I turned my car on Randy would be playing♥️Still in love after all these years, three kids that were mine that are now his and 8 grandkids and 2 great grandkids later! My grandkids know no other than papa Thank you Randy Travis

You ned to hear his new release called "Fools Love Affair" to know that Randy is Mr> Country...great new song from an old 1983 demo that he did back then. Think we may be getting more such stuff from him going forward. So though he still isn't able to sing or even talk but one word sentences the voice of his early years is still golden to me. I'll take new music by Randy any way they want to release it.

I greatly appreciate the old school country music. It has that special ingredient and twang that leaves you wanting more. The words have meaning because we all lived it. At night my grandparents used to sit on their rocking chairs and listen to the radio. Those old songs would come on and that would make the evening that much better. We would have great conversations while enjoying great music. Now that those days are gone, all I want to do is listen to this style of music in a rocking chair. Good music is not just for listening, it's for reminiscing. Stay strong and keep rocking the night away. 👍

To this day I remember the first time hearing this song come up on the radio, pulling the car over so I could give it my full attention, and thinking this guy might singlehandedly save country music. And he sure gave it a hell of a try.

I had this LP when new, it was his first. The store on the LP reminded me of Ike's store on The Waltons. Several of Randy's hits were on this LP. I had his cassette when Forever and Ever Amen was new. His voice was unique, and he was cute. I was in my twenties all during the 1980s, and it was a wonderful decade. I had no idea Randy had a stroke.
