When they promote wool as odor resistant i don’t think they’re talking about playing the wind, never met a hunter who doesn’t play the wind. It’s for the people who wear it multiple days in a row and it still doesn’t stink. where as polyester or some synthetics start to stink after a few hours and most people don’t like smelling their own stink for days in the backcountry nor does your buddies. Basically saying it’ll keep fresh longer. I wore my base layers 4 days in a row and I was sweating like crazy but still didn’t stink. I want to get these pants. How did you like them?

Thanks for watching. These have been my go to pants for hunting, fishing, and even casual wear. I ended buying a second pair in grey.

I'm really into mountain/long-trai hiking. Could these pants be my "one and done" pair, you think? Really want to get that ONE pair for hiking.

I have worn them in temps upward to 80 (got a little warm) and with heavy thermals all the way down to single digits.

This might be a dumb question, but would these work as a layer maybe? I live in Montana and end up hunting antelope archery when it is hot, to elk rut when it is cool, and into elk rifle and late season waterfowl when there is snow on the ground. I already have the Catalyst pant, which i was going to sell and get the corrugate foundry, but I would like to have a pant that I can wear from antelope to elk rut with no problems, then have as a layer for those negative degree days when I need to bundle up. I was just wondering if the thickness and material type would work to have on under something like the corrugate foundry? Sorry for the long and weird question.

Would these be good for weather in the 20s as an outer layer with a base layer under them? Or are they not warm enough?

Thanks for watching, I am actually headed out tomorrow and it’s predicting to be in the 20’s. I am opting for my Solitude. The Catalyst Foundry with the Furnace thermals might work but I haven’t tried that them below 35

How has the merino held up? Looking at them for Tx hunts, deal with a bunch of brush etc.

So far so good. With that said, I don’t use them to break brush or when I know I am going to be in thick briars. If you are planning to use them in thick briar type habitat they might not be the best option. I do like the pants though. Just got back from climbing Mount Washington in sideways rain with wind temps above 50mph and air temps below 60 and I was comfy.

It sucks yhe corrugated foundry isn't offered in camo. If you had to pick between the two new foundry options, which one would you go with?

It really depends on what you are using them for and the weather conditions you experience. I think both Foundry options are great pants and it just comes down to use type if you can only choose one. The Obsidian will be better for warmer conditions but the Corrugated is more durable if you will be climbing over timber and rocks. I have been using my Obsidian Foundry for day hikes with the family and out on Long Island Sound fishing. The Corrugated Foundry was great for Spring Turkey Season when the temps were below 65/70 degrees. If you want to chat more send me a DM on instagram. You mentioned that you had the sanctuary bibs. How do you like them and do you find it easy to move? I really wanted the corrugated foundry specifically for the hip vents but they don't offer it in spectar. My fear with the bibs is being restrictive. I do alot of walking stalking and pushing drives

I don’t hike in the Sanctuary and typically pack the bibs and coat and once on stand I put them on. I have a few times walked in when wearing the bibs and with the full length leg zipper I was able to minimize overheating. I haven’t seen any restriction of movement and the portion that is around your waist is very flexible.
