O my gosh! What a collection from your ancestors! I love that mule muzzle! Some mules like to bite, too. Bet that came in handy. You'll have to label all those old tools so Finley will know what each one is.

Thanks for sharing with us Jared and Finn. Looks good around there. Hang on spring is right around the corner and could get wild. Hope there's not much flooding this spring. Stay safe and keep up the good work. Fred.

As for the Cast Iron Pot Scraper - get it in the house as it is in excellent condition. Hang it on the kitchen wall. If left out in the barn it will begin to rust from the Humidity especilly in summer. Here in Texas you can not find one or evern see one anyewhere. If you do you almost have to rob a bank to get if you want it bad enough. Just throwing a suggestion your way as I also (like you) have a appreciation for old things - being family makes it extra special. You are a good organizer and you will be proud of you new area once finished - NOW - comes the hard part - staying on top and keeping it that way.

Can’t wait to order some greasy beans from you this year. Those are my moms absolute favorite beans in the world. She loves to cook them and even get them to have for thanksgiving.

The blue chain saw on the lower shelf looks like one I had years ago. Mine was a commercial saw, name of Lombard. It was tough to start but was a real animal when it came to cutting wood.

I understand that some folks are sentimental, and like to keep old artifacts from their ancestors. Not me. If I don't use something, out it goes, especially if I am in an organizing mood. Take a picture of the old things and remember them that way.

I could be a little over sentimental but I enjoy having the things to touch and look at, makes the mind wonder at all the work its done in the past

Good morning, Jared! Where did Laken find that tablecloth and runner? I love it. Love the round place mats too! The colors and style are just what I have been wanting for my kitchen. Looks like you will get a lot of use out of your new tool shed. The stories with the old tools were interesting. Hope ya'll have a great week ahead and God bless!

Maybe a set of stairs set into the dirt bank would make a better trek down into the hay loft. No need to be trippin and gettin hurt, especially when you're carrying heavy tools.

Have you tried Goose beans? Seminole pumpkins? Neat tools! Unfortunately, many of my g-grandfather’s tools that he made were stolen. He was a blacksmith, among other occupations.
