Fully restored to factory condition with all original body panels using original or NOS parts. Finished in the factory Calypso Coral paint, this Torino was ordered from the factory with the following options: 429 SCJ Drag Pack, Visibility Light Group, center console, power front disc brakes and power steering, AM radio with dual rear speakers, hideaway headlamps, tinted glass, deluxe seat belts with warning lamp, ribbon tachometer body side stripe and Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in the NOS size F60x15 belted tires with raised-white-letters. Unfortunately, they were also the most underrated and under appreciated muscle car ever, maybe not always the fastest, but always the best dressed. The Torino was like a tuxedo at a Sadie Hawkins dance.

Fantastic that this was at the top of my feed ! Mom's '70 Torino brougham was the car I grew up in . She sold it to my brother and it got rear ended . Couple years later I bought one and drove it through high school in the 80's . Man I loved those hideaway headlights ! I was recently lucky enough to find another 70 Torino that I'm restoring for $800 dollars ! Only down side is this one doesn't have the hideaways and has a 250 six but she's still a beauty ! Was lucky enough to take her to the Woodward dream cruise last year . To say the 70 Torino is in my blood would be an understatement ! I love this car !

I was 10 years old in 1977 when my older cousin wrapped a Light Blue 1969 Torino GT390 around a tree on a back road in Maine. He lived another day but the car didn’t. I still want one to this day! Must be an omen you uploading this ‘70 to me. Thanks for refreshing my memories on cars! Love this little snippets from you guys!

I owned a 70 Torino GT that was red like this one with the laser stripes but it was a measly 302 automatic. I loved it anyway. After a few winters in western Pennsylvania it rusted away. I still have the original full wheel covers. Some of the fake bolts on them were broken because someone must have put an air wrench on them. I also have the hood scoop. Memories. Man I wish I had it now the way it looked when I bought it. A junkyard guy dragged it away one day.

The ultimate Torino! Doesn't get any better imao. Love the hideaways on these, one of the best front ends ever. A 70-71 Torino without hideaways is kind of a missed opportunity :P Don't get me wrong, any 70-71 Torino is fantastic, but those hideaways really sets those cars off! My 70 Torino Brougham might not have the pedigree of this, but it does have hideaways, so. WIN :P Wonder what this GT will go for on the block?

What I don't understand is how KZbin videos show that a 1970 Red Torino 429 scj can vary with times of 13.71 vs Red Cuba with 440 of 13.78 on here to another 1970 Torino 429 scj of 12.93 to a Transam of 13.23 to a 1970 Red Torino 429scj of 13.64 vs a Camaross396 of 13.59 to a 1970 Torino 429scj with 13.08 vs Olds w-31 which wound up doing real bad so didn't write down time to finally a 1970 Torino 429scj of 12.72 to a 1969 Yenko 427 Camaro of 12.0 then 12.59. Then it was mentioned that Motor Trend ran a 1970 Torino 429 scj with 4 speed and driver to 4206 lbs. to a 13.99 time in Feb. 1970. These times ranged so badly that I thought maybe read end as one guy stated that stock was geared 3.91 with Detroit Locker gearing being 4.30 but that couldn't be right as narrator advised 1970 Red Torino with 429scj had 4.57 factory gearing for 12.72 race vs 1969 Yenko 427 Camaro so something else had to account for difference of 1.27 seconds so what????? Also, according to Barrett Jackson, he states that Ford produced 240 of these 1970 Torino 429scj cars when every narrator in some to all these above videos has mentioned at one time that Ford advised that only 124 or 125 or even 150 were only produced so? The reason why I am still fascinated by these Ford's is that I along with my brother John used to own one 1970 Ford Torino 429scj with actual slide spun tach in dash with 4 speed that was Blue in color that could lay down 2 black marks for well over 2 car lengths from start. We never drag tested it for fear of somebody following us to steal it. Any other questions anybody?

Yes, it sure is different from when I found it and bought it for seventy five dollars in 1988! Spoiler alert! It does NOT have a numbers matching engine or trans and the SCJ shaker is actually off of my 1970 Torino Cobra that I bought in 1982 and still have. I sold it, running and driving with a C-6 auto in 1998 to Terry Dodge of Vancouver, Washington, for $2,400.00 I was lucky enough to be able to go and watch Jeff Esterberg (Esterbrook?) while he was restoring it for Bob, the owner.

I have a base model 71 sportsroof. 351c and looks good to drive and enjoy but not good enough to be a trailer queen. Do all the options matter on these high dollar resto cars when it is basically a puzzle piece that will sit in a garage for the remainder of its life?

i don't know why I watch this anymore! I can't afford any of this stuff and then why appreciate it. to sit in someone's garage is a waste for most of us and using this as a piece of property is stupid.
