I have the 2022 in black and it really shines in the sunlight after a wash.Only complaint after 1 month is the center console could be set forward more or have a sliding top to rest your arm on long trips.

Couple of small things I don't like about my 2022 CX-5 Premium is the material on the top of the dashboard. Although practically nothing slides that's put up there when you're driving, it's also a real b..ch to clean. You can't rub a dry towel across it without it sticking or pulling the material out of the towel. Also I think they should have made the video screen a touch screen and they should have included a free GPS program instead of that goofy Mazda thing you have to pay a monthly fee for and you have to buy their SD card to be able to use it. You can use the free Android GPS but you have to use it with a USB cable which kind of defeats the purpose of being easy and convenient to use. Other than that it is an awesome vehicle and light years ahead of the VW Tiguan(s) I used to drive. Light years in terms of comfort, ride and quality materials, not in performance.

Android auto and apple carplay are available but wired across all lineup. Wireless charging is also available but it depends on the trim. I'm not sure if this premium select have, but the turbos versions or above, definitely have.

Thanks for the video! Have you heard anything about the CX-5 getting Wireless Carplay/Android Auto and a touchscreen now that the CX-50 has gotten both? I would assume for sure for MY2023 but I've also heard rumors that the hardware already exists in the MY2022 CX-5s and all it would take is a software update. Thoughts?

Mazda cx5 for 2022 does not have wireless Apple CarPlay. You have to plug your lightning cable to car USB causing wear to your plug on your phone. Ever time you get into your car you have to plug in. So much for the advantage of having wireless charging. You still have to plug in. 2021 had wireless CarPlay but they had problems do they removed it in 2022. Instead of fixing the problem they went backwards and removed. Come on Mazda get with technology. This is disappointing. Please come up with a fix and do an update to the 2022’s so there is wireless CarPlay.

The wireless CarPlay in 2021 was only for 6th Gen systems in other markets. I expect this to be offered in a couple of years in CX-5. Is in CX50, 60, 70, 80, & 90 now.
