Yo John, nice video, cool edit, showing the lights, that might be the tailgate switch on the dash:), the "off road traction assist" will be in the lesser trims and Premium, and higher trims will have the M-idrive switch on console, #mazdafam take care brother hope youre feeling better!

What is the Tire Pressure Monitor like in the 2022 CX-5? Does it tell you which individual tire is low like my 2013 Buick or does it just say A tire is low and I have to figure out which one it is that needs filling?

Pretty sure the same little trick that worked on my 2017 can be done with the lights knob and hazard lights button to deactivate the headlight from the daytime running lights setup. When that works, OFF is OFF on the light knob, AUTO is AUTO, parking lights is just the thin LEDs and the taillights, and ON is all lights on. Mazda should eliminate the headlights from the daytime running lights default setup and get with the times.

Why does Mazda keep putting the USB ports inside the armrest in the backseat instead of down by the vents near the floor? If someone’s in the middle seat it makes the USBs unreachable.

Because there is already two usb ports inside the center console. Just get a longer cable. I actually prefer it there because the cables are out of the way and looks cleaner.

in my opinion it is a simulation of what a luxury car is, that does not have a middle seat and that replaces it with cup holders and chargers, and the heated seats that the mazda has, i guess

The red turbo edition is downright evil looking in a good way. However, the gloss black trim all around is gonna be a nightmare to keep scratch and swirl free. Sometimes I don’t understand how people can sit around a table and come up with these design ideas. They don’t even think twice about the customer honestly IMO. Despite people constantly saying how the gloss black sucks. Now they put it all around the car. Not this trim level that’s here. I just drove a turbo and noticed it all around

I have a 22' Carbon. I'm happy with it except the speaker sound. I think for the trim level, they really need to bring back the Bose Sound. It seems out of place and strange to get a $400 credit for missing out on the Bose. I would gladly pay the full price if not more. The trim level sits pretty high in price & quality for the sound system to be lacking.

Nice, I think they can't get the electronics for Bose system so they give you stock system and 400usd of credit and honestly you can get 200usd digital power amp connected to Mazda stock head unit and than upgrade front speakers to some component system for remaining 200usd , cost of installation will be around 200usd and that 600usd system will blow away Bose or most premium cars systems . I did that to my 2013 CX-9 from the time it was new and improvement over Bose system was huge . Now , the best sounding Mazda stock audio is on the CX30 with sealed woofers in the A pillars so zero noise and vibrations comes from the door panels where most mfgs are installing these woofers. Keep in mind that CX-5 base stereo in audio advanced settings has very detailed equalizer that is 14band while in Bose there are just low and high adjustments .

Great looking SUV but (and I'll admit I don't know the release date) how much longer will discussions of the CX3 and CX5 remain relevant when there's already so much excitement out there for their replacements, the CX30 and CX50 some of which are on the road already and cannibalizing sales of their predecessors? :/

Can anyone tell me what's the difference in the gauge cluster between Preferred and Premium Plus? Also, there's an accessory for "Front/Rear Bumper Trim Package" that runs $1250, but I can't find any info as to what this is, not even from a salesperson that I asked! Thanks!

The premium adds a 7” screen in the center with digital readout. The preferred has a 4” on the right side. The bumper trim package is a silver plastic garnish that is added to the bumpers along the bottom

Very nice! I'm glad Mazda didn't go too crazy with redesign elements on the new CX-5s. It was already a fantastic vehicle, so a few minor tweaks is a good thing!

What is going to kill Mazda is the fact that they got rid of the Entry level turbo option. 2021 CX-5 Carbon AWD Turbo edition was a heck of a deal because you get the turbo engine for about 32k, now to get the turbo edition you need to spend 38-40k, which is straight up non sense. If I am going to spend about $38-40k I might as well get a volvo XC-40 T5 Momentum which is about 37k comes with a turbo charged engine, and has way better interior then the CX-5. If you want to spend 40K+ you can get the Volvo XC-40 T5 R-Design which will put the CX-5 Turbo Premium Plus to sleep.
