How can there be an 88th floor suite in a 67 story building?

Several floors were skipped (4, 13, 14) due to superstition. They also may have skipped a big chunk of numbers in the middle. (Mandalay Bay jumps straight from floor 30 to floor 56.)

@@taestell That's 11 floors and regardless how floors are labeled, the floor above 12 is the 13th floor, etc. As for Mandalay Bay, that's to honor the horrific deaths on that tragic day which is very understandable. Last, the superstition about the number four is Asian whereas the name Fountainbleu is French. A poor excuse to make the hotel sound taller. 67 floors at over 700 feet is still something to be proud of as the tallest building in the state.

@@kendalldadthey didn’t change the numbers due to the shooting. All they did was never let that one room be rented out again and removed the number of that specific room. They didn’t relabel the floor numbers of the entire tower, you’re making that up.

@@kendalldad The point is that the “names” of the floors have nothing to do with the actual numbers of those floors. Mandalay Bay did rename some of the middle floors after the tragedy, but their top floor has always been called “63” even though it’s only 43 stories tall.

@@taestell As a New Yorker I'm well aware of the numbering of floors but 20 floors in a 40 story building is quite unusual unless your name is Trump.
